Abstract Social service systems are uniquely positioned to implement health prevention and intervention protocols given their mission support vulnerable populations in the communities where they live. However, social organizations deliver complex services, with scarce resources, under significant external pressure from communities, funders, regulatory bodies. This requires careful consideration designing dissemination implementation (D&I) strategies. While several well-developed, blended strategies being used all require additional documentation, research, refinement. Nonetheless, lessons learned services may help other better interventions consumers needs.

Abstract Background To bring evidence-based interventions (EBIs) to individuals with behavioral health needs, psychosocial must be delivered at scale. Despite an increasing effort implement effective treatments in communities, most mental and problems do not receive EBIs. We posit that organizations commercialize EBIs play important role disseminating EBIs, particularly the USA. The implementation industry is growing, bringing field inflection point: how scale improve access while maintaining EBI effectiveness minimizing inequities intervention. Despite efforts in Implementation Science, there remains a considerable gap between establishing intervention effectiveness and their widespread adoption real-world settings. Shockingly, only about 14% of these interventions make it into practice. This study recognized the urgent need for paradigm shift within field sought to develop comprehensive understanding systemic barriers facilitators affecting implementation.

Background. In the United States, Hispanic/Latinx patients receive disproportionately fewer living donor kidney transplants (LDKTs) than non-Hispanic White patients. Northwestern Medicine’s culturally targeted Hispanic Kidney Transplant Program (HKTP) was found to increase LDKTs in at 1 of 2 transplant programs with greater implementation fidelity. Methods. We conducted a budget impact analysis evaluate HKTP’s on program financial profiles from changes volume and deceased (DDKTs) 2017 2019. estimated HKTP programmatic costs, (KT) costs revenues. forecasted volumes, KT revenues for 2022–2024. Results. At both programs, had <1% total comprised 2017–2019. particular, KTs increased sites. Annual DDKTs by 226.9% site A 1042.9% B when comparing 2019–2017. Forecasted LDKT showed an 36.4% (site A) 33.3% B) subsequent 42.3% 44.3% among DDKTs. Conclusions. evaluation are potentially recoverable reimbursement organ acquisition offset increases LDKTs; may find financially manageable.

Abstract Background Non-pharmacological dementia research products generated in traditional university settings, such as social and behavioral interventions, often experience challenges to impact practices that they were developed for. The Netherlands established five specialized academic health science centers, referred Alzheimer Centers, structurally coordinate facilitate the utilization of knowledge. This study leverages implementation systematically explore strategies used by researchers from each Center, based on ‘knowledge-to-action’ (KTA) framework, which includes knowledge creation, adaptation, dissemination, implementation. Methods Individual semi-structured qualitative interviews conducted with 29 respondents across Centers Netherlands, selected through purposive (snowball) sampling. Interviews in-person virtually Microsoft Teams, all audio-recorded transcribed verbatim. Data analysis was guided dimensions KTA framework. Result There a high variation bring non-pharmacological into practice, Center influenced typology produced Centers’ organizational heritage. creation adaptation phases mainly facilitated funders’ guidance toward product co-creation patients implementing organizations. Dissemination utilizing support university-based technology transfer offices valorization establishing strategically leveraging formal infrastructure, public-private partnerships professional collaborative networks. Conclusion Successful requires evolving researcher competencies meet environmental demands facilitating end-users partners. Understanding external determinants influencing Dutch ecosystem is crucial for capacity-building aligning cross-sector agendas. framework appears reveal intricacies utilization, guiding future studies employed various contexts.

Knowledge translation has emerged as a practice and science to bridge the gap between evidence in healthcare. While field appropriately borrowed from other related fields advance its science, there remain less mined. One such with potential relevance knowledge translation, but limited application date, is social marketing. This review aims determine elements of marketing interventions that could be applied science. Our objectives are to: (1) summarise types studies have tested controlled intervention study designs; (2) describe their effects; (3) propose strategies for integration into science. This scoping will conducted using Joanna Briggs Institute Methodological Guidance. For first second objectives, all English-language published 1971 onwards included if they used randomised or non-randomised design, defined by five essential criteria. The research team address third objective through discussion consensus. All screening extraction performed independently two reviewers. Variables extracted include details desirable criteria context, mechanism outcomes interventions. This project secondary analysis papers does not require ethics approval. We disseminate our outputs journals present at relevant conferences across spectrum field. produce short long version plain language summary tailored various groups including implementation scientists quality improvement researchers.Open Science Framework Registration link: osf.io/6q834.

In the USA, more than 14 million children are impacted by obesity. Despite intensive health behavior and lifestyle treatments being found effective, gaps exist in moving these interventions into widespread use. Focusing on market viability could improve dissemination sustainment of interventions. The purpose this paper is to outline process results our assessment for Healthy Weight Clinic (HWC), a Centers Disease Control Prevention-recognized Family Health Program. We conducted using Speeding Research-test INTerventions (SPRINT) program gain insights commercialization marketplace HWC. Through customer discovery, we interviewed 50 stakeholders test hypotheses pertaining business model. Key takeaways were need packaged that offer support training providers, multidisciplinary located within medical home. also learned (i) intervention goals must align with healthcare organization's performance metrics; (ii) services be reimbursable; (iii) importance understanding different segments (i.e. users vs. organization decision-makers) their unique needs. critical step transforming HWC viable commercial product. have outlined replicable others encouraging other teams design can increase number evidence-based, IHBLTs available
