Meat and meat products are important food sources of proteins, fatty acids, vitamins, minerals (iron zinc) for human beings. However, these nutritious meats vulnerable to quality deterioration including microbial contamination, protein lipid oxidation. Therefore, prevent postharvest changes in various chemicals, natural preservatives have been employed during processing. Natural can be hydrophilic or lipophilic compounds that support animal growth, preserve the by inhibiting oxidation contamination. Among these, applications product preservations extensively reviewed. recently, little no reviews reported on fat-soluble bioactive production preservation. Abstract This study aimed to evaluate the effects of Bay laurel leaf extract conjugated with zinc nanoparticles (Zn-Nano-BLLE) as a growth enhancer and antibiotic alternative in broiler diets on performance, carcass characteristics, blood markers. In completely randomized design, 264 one-day-old Ross 308 chicks were divided into four experimental groups assess impact Zn-Nano-BLLE supplementation. Each group consisted six replicates, each containing 11 unsexed chicks. The treatments follows: control (basal diet) without any additives, three receiving at 1, 2, 3 cm³ Zn-Nano-BLLE/kg feed, respectively. Results indicated that supplementation 1 or cm³/kg feed led significant improvements live body weight gain. lowest intake conversion ratio observed broilers supplemented (30.94 1.14, respectively). However, highest dressing, carcass, heart percentages found group. Additionally, fed showed levels total protein, albumin, globulin, while also exhibiting cholesterol low-density lipoprotein (161.52 88.35, immunoglobulin G (IgG) elevated groups, although no noted M (IgM). Birds given 2 demonstrated superoxide dismutase activity (164 U/ml), had levels. conclusion, dietary inclusion Zn-Nano-BLLE, particularly cm³/kg, enhanced immunity, productivity, antioxidant status, indicates its effectiveness natural production.

Periodontal disease is a chronic inflammatory condition that destroys the tooth-supporting structures due to host's immune response microbial biofilms. Traditional periodontal treatments, such as scaling and root planing, pharmacological interventions, surgical procedures, have significant limitations, including difficulty accessing deep pockets, biofilm recolonization, development of antibiotic resistance. In light these challenges, natural bioactive compounds derived from plants, herbs, other sources offer promising alternative their anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, tissue-regenerative properties. This review focuses on molecular mechanisms through which compounds, curcumin, resveratrol, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), baicalin, carvacrol, berberine, essential oils, Gum Arabic, exert therapeutic effects in disease. Bioactive inhibit critical pathways like NF-κB, JAK/STAT, MAPK while activating protective Nrf2/ARE, reducing cytokine production oxidative stress. They also activity matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), preventing tissue degradation promoting healing. addition, demonstrated potential disrupt bacterial biofilms by interfering with quorum sensing, targeting cell membranes, enhancing efficacy.Bioactive modulate system shifting balance pro-inflammatory anti-inflammatory responses efferocytosis, helps resolve inflammation supports regeneration. However, despite challenges related poor bioavailability, stability oral cavity, absence large-scale clinical trials need be addressed. Future strategies should prioritize advanced delivery systems nanoparticles hydrogels enhance bioavailability sustain release, alongside long-term studies assess human populations. Furthermore, combining traditional treatments could provide synergistic benefits managing aims explore disease, emphasizing action offering insights into integration conventional therapies for more comprehensive approach health.

This investigation evaluates the impact of EOB on chicken growth performance, meat quality, and lipid metabolism. Two hundred fifty-six one-day-old, white-feathered broilers were randomly allocated to four groups. Each group was subdivided into eight replicates, each with unsexed chicks, including control (CON), EOB150, EOB250, EOB350, 0, 150, 250, 350 mg/L added drinking water, respectively. The expression levels genes associated antioxidants metabolism analyzed using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Additionally, FA profile breast muscle determined gas chromatography. data displayed that those birds in EOB250 had a higher index compared CON group. groups showed there is increased yellowness, water holding capacity (WHC), polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), while cooking losses, drip saturated (SFAs) reduced CON. application supplements for EOB350 antioxidant indices as well antioxidant-related liver muscles. However, these decreased concentrations triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C) serum EOB150 These downregulated some linked synthesis elevated expressions β-oxidation-related It can be concluded supplementation 250 has potential an alternative additive broiler industry.
