This qualitative study looks into the connection between Indonesian teenage stress levels and social media use. During semi-structured interviews with teenagers ages of 13 18, several themes surfaced that demonstrated complex relationship wellbeing. Social platforms facilitate contact, but they also include stresses like comparison, FOMO, cyberbullying, as reported by participants. is a source both stress. Teenagers use variety coping mechanisms, such placing limits on their media, going offline, practicing mindfulness, asking for support. Addressing media-induced in requires culturally sensitive methods take account local norms beliefs. Phubbing, a pervasive social behavior linked to smartphone usage, involves users neglecting their conversation partners engage with phones. With the popularity of smartphone and their increasingly rich functions, people's attachment to phones is increasing. While people enjoy convenience that bring (eg, accessing information socializing), it also leads problematic use phubbing). Previous research has shown boredom proneness can trigger phubbing. However, underlying psychological mechanisms are not yet clear.To address this gap, we surveyed 556 Chinese college students (Mage = 18.89 years, SD 1.18) during COVID-19 pandemic all participants completed a self-report questionnaire. Phubbing, or prioritising smartphone use during face-to-face interactions, is an increasingly common behaviour with detrimental effects on mental well-being. This cross-sectional study aimed to explore the relationships between basic psychological needs, distress, fear of missing out (FoMO), self-compassion and phubbing. A total 774 university students (Mage = 28.3, 74% women) completed online questionnaire assessing these variables. The term phubbing was coined as a blend of the words phone and snubbing someone during an interaction by looking at, talking and/or texting on one’s instead continuing to interact with that person. Although this first appeared several years ago (2012), research literature has been primarily dated from 2020 present. In recent survey at least 47% individuals in many countries have experienced phubbing. Its negative effects adolescents adults include social media addiction, smart poor job performance, affect, psychological distress depression. The relationship between smartphone use, interpersonal interaction, and friendship satisfaction (FS) remains underexplored in literature. present study addressed this gap by examining how smartphone-related behaviours, such as phubbing addiction (SPA), are associated with fear of missing out (FoMO), being phubbed (BP) FS. surveyed 811 university students explored the aforementioned relationships dual roles SPA a mediator BP moderator. findings showed that FoMO positively correlated phubbing, partial mediator, suggesting reducing could mitigate phubbing. Background: Notably, there is a scarcity of papers that focus on deepening the relationship between fear missing out (FoMO) and school engagement for undergraduate students, most especially in university setting Indonesia Philippines. Research Objectives: In this regard, study aims to deepen FoMO engagement. Methods: research, correlational method was adopted. The respondents were students currently taking Bachelor Physical Education degree at College Teacher Training Pasundan (Indonesia) University Region III (Philippines). Instrument used Fear Missing Out scale (FoMOS), involvement UWES-9. Pearson-R analysis analyse Finding/Results: After obtaining data from 100 teacher education Education, it observed no significant overall (r(98) = .190, p .059). Additionally, found FoMO-Private Factor .145, .147), FoMO-Social .173, .085), Conclusion: Thus, we confirm students' their studies not significantly influenced by FoMO. This research contributes information teachers regarding physical education.
