Abstract In plant microbial fuel cells or p-MFCs living plants photosynthesize between two electrodes. The exudes organic waste material from the roots. rhizosphere, bacteria consume these wastes by oxidizing them in contrast to atmosphere that reduces it. This redox reaction along with photosynthesis can be harnessed as an energy source form of bioelectricity. this work, Withania somnifera (L.) Withania somnifera (L.) Dunal belongs to the nightshade family Solanaceae and is commonly known as Ashwagandha. It pharmacologically a significant medicinal plant of Indian sub-continent, used in Ayurvedic indigenous systems medicine for more than 3,000 years. rich reservoir pharmaceutically bioactive constituents withanolides (a group 300 naturally occurring C-28 steroidal lactones with an ergostane-based skeleton). Most biological activities W. have been attributed two key withanolides, namely, withaferin-A withanolide-D. In addition, such withanosides, sitoindosides, lactones, alkaloids are also present broad spectrum therapeutic potential. Several research groups worldwide discovered various molecular targets , inhibiting activation nuclear factor kappa-B promoting apoptosis cancer cells. enhances dopaminergic D2 receptor activity (relief Parkinson’s disease). The active principles sitoindosides VII-X possess free radical properties. Withanolide-D increases radio sensitivity human cells via deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) damage non-homologous end-joining repair (NHEJ) pathways. Withanolide-V may serve potential inhibitor against main protease (Mpro) severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) combat COVID. docking studies revealed that withanolide-A inhibits acetyl-cholinesterase brain, which could be drug treat Alzheimer’s disease. Besides, reduces expression N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor, responsible memory loss epileptic rats. This review demonstrates source other constituents, can safe chronic diseases due minimal side effects pre-clinical studies. These results interesting signify clinical trials should conducted prove efficacy settings.

Ashwagandha or Withania somnifera is an herbal plant belonging to the Solanaceae family. Because of its wide range phytochemicals, ashwagandha root extract has been used in numerous research studies, either alone conjunction with other natural plants, for various biomedical applications, which include anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, anti-stress, anti-tumor, cardioprotective, and neuroprotective properties. Additionally, it improves endothelial function, lowers reactive oxygen species, controls apoptosis, mitochondrial function. These properties make a useful treatment variety conditions, including age-related symptoms, anxiety, neurodegenerative diseases, diabetes, stress, arthritis, fatigue, cognitive/memory impairment. Despite benefits supplementation, there have just four meta-analyses on herb's effectiveness treating neurobehavioral disorders, impotence, infertility. Moreover, no reviews exist that examine how affects antioxidant response physical sports performance. Consequently, goal this study was analyze scientific literature regarding effects consumption athletic

Withania somnifera has been used for a long time in traditional medicine. Its crude extract, dried powder, and purified metabolites from mature plants have shown promising therapeutic potential. To further investigate its potential, the detection of phytochemicals with anticancer antimicrobial properties vegetative stage is essential. Hence, this study was done to identify phytochemical constituents using GC-MS analysis activities methanolic extracts stem, leaf, root W. somnifera. The air-dried plant parts were extracted methanol at low pressure concentrate rotary evaporator 40°C. phytochemicals, Shimadzu GCMSQP2010, Japan, NIST107.LIB database. identified 35 unique peaks In leaves, antibacterial included cyclotrisiloxane, hexamethyl, high abundance, cyclohexasiloxane, dodecamethyl, least abundance. roots, 2,2-dimethoxybutane, cathinone, found properties, whereas trans-2,3-epoxyoctane, properties. phytoconstituents octasiloxane, 1,1,3,3,5,5,7,7,9,9,11,11,13,13,15,15-hexadecamethyl, benzenemethanol, alpha.-(1-aminoethyl), be most abundant abundant, respectively, while arabinitol pentaacetate had both activities. Withanolides are the class of steroidal molecules getting greater emphasis in recent years. Quality control throughout manufacturing and storage period is often one key problems that have restricted their broad use India's indigenous Ayurvedic medical systems for thousands Because diverse clinical potential, withanolides received a great deal scientific attention. Analytical techniques being devised automated isolation, identification, estimation every single protein within cell as well herbal extracts withanolides, due to which now researchers interested determining effects metabolism various stimuli on expression, made study easier. This discusses potential hyphenated analytical methods reliable understanding molecular signaling features, proteome evaluation characterization addition examining existing methodological limitations. The choice analysis, however, relies nature sample matrix, aim sensitivity technique.

Ethnopharmacological knowledge highlighted several medicinal plants traditionally used to treat cancers. However, only fraction of these have undergone scientific evaluation validate their anticancer potential. This review summarizes the ethnopharmacological use, preclinical studies, and clinical trial data plant-derived compounds with properties. Preclinical investigations demonstrated substantial cytotoxic activities plant extracts isolated fractions against various human cell lines. For instance, from Acokanthera schimperi, Clematis simensis, Euphorbia schimperiana, Kalanchoe petitiana , Plumbago zeylanicum potent across types, IC50 values ranging between 0.086 6.37 μg/mL. Building on findings, progressed trials. Curcumin Curcuma longa is undergoing Phase II for advanced pancreatic cancer. Tea polyphenols *indole-3-carbinol/3,3-diindolylmethane shown efficacy trials multiple myeloma breast cancer, respectively. Besides, epigallocatechin, lycopene, resveratrol (Polygonum, sulforaphane ( Brassica oleracea ), roscovitine/seliciclib, thymoquinone, piperine, Berberine genistein under I–III integrates knowledge, data, evidence, showing drug discovery. While significant progress been made, further studies required isolate, characterize, elucidate mechanisms action bioactive compounds. Bridging traditional contemporary research offers promising avenues development novel chemotherapeutic chemopreventive agents, advancing fight
