Abstract Purpose of review Migrant and ethnic minority (MEM) outdoor workers might be at increased risk for heat-related illnesses (HRI), due to environmental exposures, heavy physical work, limited control over workplace conditions language cultural barriers. This aims synthesize the literature on health impacts occupational heat exposure among MEM workers, including factors, perception behaviour healthcare utilization. Recent findings Seventy-six publications were included. Most conducted in US, where weighted prevalence least one HRI symptom was 48.8%. These numbers higher most non-US countries. On average, 60.9% reported being concerned about 60.4% having had training. Many drinking more water when hot (91.7%) feeling comfortable taking breaks (92%) while fewer acclimatizing start season (43.7%) or changing working hours (34%) activities (32.2%) heat. Qualitative studies reasons faster with less breaks, fear losing work earning getting paid by piece. Data access limited. Summary While research advances workers´ vulnerability, factors utilization, there is a need strengthen prevention efforts reduce burden this population.

Climate change causes long-term weather changes from the tropics to polls. It is a global threat that strains several sectors. The present study conducts review analysis theoretically explores how climatic variability degrading sector sustainability. Due irreversible variations, agricultural particularly vulnerable. In turn, it disrupting worldwide consumption patterns, especially in countries where agriculture central their economy and productivity. shifting optimum temperature ranges, climate also increasing biodiversity loss through modifying ecosystem architecture. increases risk of food, water, vector-borne diseases. Antimicrobial resistance, which developing due resistant pathogenic infections, accelerated by change. hurts forestry tourism business. This examines socio-economic environmental mitigation adaptation strategies economic consequences. According findings, knotted answerability resources laws created past generate progressive policy need government involvement for development. Thus, addressing change's dire consequences demands cooperation maintain world survival.

Health consequences arising from climate change are threatening to offset advances made reduce the damage of infectious diseases, which vary by region and resilience local health system. Here we discuss how change-related migrations disease burden linked through various processes, such as expansion pathogens into non-endemic areas, overcrowding in new informal settlements, increased proximity vectors susceptible human populations. Countries that predicted have highest those least contribution change. Further studies needed generate robust evidence on potential movements migration, well identify effective bespoke short- long-term interventions. Both extreme weather events gradual changes drive could aggravate diseases. This Perspective examines complex interplay between change, migration diseases then advocates for context-specific adaptations.
