Purpose of review We aim to describe the extent psychological trauma and moral distress in healthcare workers (HCW) working intensive care unit (ICU) during coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Intensive care unit healthcare workers (ICU HCW) are at risk of mental health disorders during emerging disease outbreaks. Numerous cross-sectional studies have reported psychological distress, anxiety, and depression amongst ICU HCW the COVID-19 pandemic. However, few followed longitudinally, none these examined association between workload health. We conducted a longitudinal cohort study 309 Canadian from April 2020 to August 2020, 1 st wave Psychological distress was assessed using General Health Questionnaire 12-item scale (GHQ-12) 3 timepoints: acceleration phase (T1), deceleration (T2), after had passed (T3). Clinically relevant defined as GHQ-12 score ≥ 3, identified in 64.7% participants T1, 41.0% T2, 34.6% T3. not associated with T1. Abstract Objective: to assess the effectiveness of auriculotherapy in reducing occupational stress among Family Health Strategy workers during COVID-19 pandemic. Method: a controlled randomized clinical trial divided into two groups, namely: for group and placebo group. The Shapiro-Wilk test was used data normality. ANOVA repeated measures Tukey post-hoc were applied with normal samples. In turn, Friedman Durbin-Conover tests employed non-normal distribution. Cohen’s d index calculated therapy effect size. A 95% significance level p<0.05 considered. Results: presented 16.3% 23.7% reductions after third sixth sessions, indices 1.12 (large effect) 1.82 (very large effect), respectively. Aim: Since the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, medical staff have faced greater psychological stress and are prone to problems such as anxiety depression, confirmed by several studies. This study further clarifies status of Chinese during stable phase pandemic through a cross-sectional investigation in large population sample northern China. Methods: Subjects: Clinical frontline from seven hospitals Liaoning Province were recruited November 2020 February 2021. Research Tools: The research tools used Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Depression (SDS), Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire (SCSQ), General Status Questionnaire. Statistical Analysis: SPSS 22.0, ANOVA variance analysis, multiple logistics regression for statistical analysis. P-values <0.05 indicated significant differences. Results: A total 3,144 completed survey (599 men [19.1%] 2,545 women [80.9%]; 1,020 doctors [32.4%] 2,124 nurses [67.6%]). Among all subjects, rates depression 21.1% (663/3, 144) 43.9% (1,381/3,144), respectively. Multiple logistic comparative analysis revealed that age (OR = 1.272, 95% CI 1.036-1.561, P 0.022), need counseling 1.566, 1.339-1.830, < 0.001), coexistence 0.050, 0.038-0.066, 0.001) significantly associated with anxiety.
