COVID-19 became a pandemic in few months, leading to adverse health outcomes, reducing the quality of life, affecting sleep/wake cycle, and altering coping strategies, especially among hospital personnel. Life quality, insomnia, strategies were thus assessed personnel during first wave Italy. This cross-sectional study was conducted from May November 2020 through an online survey. There 558 participants (28.5% males 71.5% females) enrolled two different metropolitan areas (in North South Italy, respectively). Three standardized questionnaires administered: European Quality life-5 Dimensions (EQ-5D), Athens Insomnia Scale (AIS), Brief COPE. Differences sociodemographic characteristics work-related factors also investigated order identify possible predictors generalized linear model logistic regression analysis. Results showed good perceived life high insomnia prevalence. After sample stratification, statistical analysis highlighted that personal (gender, age, educational level) (employment COVID wards, remote working) played roles predicting attitude. Abstract Objective Explore the relevant evidence about stress‐related cognitive appraisal and coping strategies among registered nurses in emergency department (EDRNs) with COVID‐19 pandemic. Methods This scoping review followed methodological framework of Arksey O'Malley to map synthesize findings. We searched PubMed, EMBASE, CINAHL, Web Science, Scopus electronic databases for related studies from inception through February 2, 2022. further conducted study selection based on PRISMA flow diagram applied Lazarus Folkman's Psychological Stress Coping Theory systematically organize, summarize, report Findings Sixteen were included synthesis. Most showed that majority EDRNs overwhelmed by Depression, triaging distress, physical exhaustion, intention leave ED nursing cited as major threats their wellness. Additionally, comprehensive training, a modified triage system, safe workplace, psychological support, promotion resilience, accepting responsibility may help cope pandemic‐related challenges effectively. Conclusion The long‐lasting pandemic has affected mental health because they have increased effort respond outbreak dynamically adjusted strategies. Future research should address prolonged issues, healthcare quality, solutions facing during or future pandemics. Clinical Relevance experienced administrators need take action ensure EDRNs' safety an up‐to‐date frontline provide high‐quality care combating COVID‐19.

Background: Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, hospital medical staff (HMS) have faced significant personal, workplace, and financial disruption. Many experienced psychosocial burden, exceeding already concerning baseline levels. This study examines types predictors of coping strategies help-seeking behaviours utilised by Australian junior senior HMS during first year pandemic. Methods: A cross-sectional online survey frontline healthcare workers was conducted between 27 August 23 October 2020. Data collected included demographics, personal workplace disruptions, self-reported validated mental health symptoms, strategies, help-seeking. Results: The 9518 participants 1966 (62.1% senior, 37.9% junior). Both groups a high burden anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, burnout. Coping varied seniority, with maintaining exercise most common strategy for both groups. Adverse associated increased alcohol consumption. Engagement professional support, although more frequent among staff, uncommon in Conclusions: Junior different behaviours. Objectives To examine the extent of impact COVID-19 pandemic on mental health and well-being professionals (MHPs) in Netherlands understand their needs during pandemic. Design setting A cross-sectional, mixed-methods study was conducted with MHPs from June 2020 to October 2020, consisting an online survey three focus group discussions. Background During the COVID-19 pandemic, concern has been raised about suicide risk among healthcare workers (HCWs). We investigated incidence and prevalence of suicidal thoughts behaviour (STB), their relationship with occupational factors, National Health Service HCWs in England between April 2020 August 2021. Methods In this longitudinal study, we analysed online survey data completed by 22,501 from 17 NHS Trusts at baseline (Time 1) six months 2). The primary outcome measures were ideation, attempts, non-suicidal self-injury. used logistic regression to investigate these outcomes demographic characteristics factors. Results stratified role (clinical/non-clinical). Time 1 2 surveys 12,514 7,160 HCWs, respectively. At baseline, 10.8% (95% CI = 10.1%, 11.6%) participants reported having experienced previous two months, whilst 2.1% 1.8%, 2.5%) attempted over same period.
