Abstract This study centers on analyzing Mexican consumers' willingness to pay (WTP) for imported US fresh apples subjected irradiation, contrasting it with the more prevalent postharvest chemical treatments. According to consumer demands, table grape breeding programs work obtain innovative high quality seedless varieties with new flavours and shapes, yields, adapted environmental conditions, resistant diseases pests.
