RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: This study’s objective is to examine how mediation presented in the news media stories before and during outbreak of war. THE PROBLEM AND METHODS: The research problem an attempt answer question if stories, whereas their headlines introduce word “mediation” or “mediator,” respond concepts mediation, peace, war journalism. documentary analyzes 100 published Spanish, where we conflict between Russia Ukraine readers. In addition, three experts culture peace (from Spain, Mexico, Colombia) were interviewed regarding portrayals mediation. PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: investigation begins with a recapitulation Ukraine; after war, different personalities offered intervention as possible Despite intentions mediate, broke out, international community continued search for mediator. Thus, influence using specific words like deserves be explored. RESULTS: findings reveal that 85% analyzed used vocabulary whose style responds journalism contradicts idea bodies stories.
