DC.

central-eastern
region
of
Brazil
and
is
among
best-known
cacti
country.
Its
phytochemical
properties
fruits
hold
great
significance
to
local
communities.
We
examined
published
ethnobotanical
studies
regarding

undertaken
between
2000
2024,
better
understand
its
traditional
uses
relationships
with
human
communities
