Purpose
The
increase
in
waste
and
carbon
emissions
from
the
construction
industry
continues
to
fester
although
sustainable
design
approaches
such
as
designing
for
adaptability
(DfA)
have
been
approved

viable
option

savings
on
building
projects.

professionals
challenges
implementing
DfA
Ghanaian
(GCI).
Design/methodology/approach
A
critical
comparative
review

literature

Purpose
Net
zero
energy
buildings
(NZEBs)
play
a
crucial
role
in
mitigating
the
environmental
impact
of
construction
industry.
However,
this
concept

its

that
thirty
(30)

had
moderate
NZEBs,
14
low
awareness.
Thirteen
high
Three
profesionals
extremely
unaware,
while
six
very
study’s
findings
highlight
need
create
their
employees
Ghana.
Originality/value

under-explored
area
context
therefore,
uniquely
highlights
nascent
professionals,
unlike
previous
studies

developed

408
professionals

industry

convenience

sampling

low
level
adoption
GCI,
most
firms

UAVs

management.

technical
challenges,
