This case study focuses on the city of Aden, Yemen, where a large segment population relies semi-formal public transportation due to various sociodemographic and economic factors. The specifically investigates inner urban area Al Mansoura in Aden. To understand travel behavior mode choice this area, research employs mixed methodology that combines qualitative quantitative approaches through design. Primary data about interest were collected field observations, interviews, questionnaires, GIS mapping, street audits. In addition, novel mapping lines was produced for first time city. Both analyzed using statistical analysis methods. results indicate correlation between variables choice, particularly terms income gender. Low-income individuals tend use transport, while those with higher incomes prefer private vehicles. Additionally, females generally drive less than males have mobility cultural educational factors; fewer responsibilities outside home. However, small number who vehicles work.

ABSTRACT Higher Education Institutions are undergoing (HEIs) profound transformations in response to the challenges posed by globalization and increasing frequency of global crises. This paper presents a comprehensive framework aimed at redefining values, missions, goals HEIs ensure their sustained relevance effectiveness addressing contemporary challenges. Drawing upon an extensive literature review, this research examines multifaceted roles fostering citizenship, inclusivity, innovation. Moreover, insights from World Economic Forum's Global Risks Report 2020 underscore urgent need for adapt evolving dynamics, including pandemics, climate change, economic volatility. The proposed emphasises imperative align missions with emerging challenges, as highlighted UNESCO's Futures report. By prioritising research, education, community engagement impact, can serve proactive agents positive change increasingly interconnected world. Additionally, Institute International Education's Open Doors on Educational Exchange 2021 data Universities UK (2020) provide valuable perspectives internationalisation landscape higher education.
