Blossom-end rot (BER) is a physiological disorder caused by calcium deficiency, often paired with moisture stress and irregular traditional watering practices. To understand the biological mechanism affecting incidence of BER, different tomato genotypes were cultivated in sandy soil traditionally irrigated. Nine investigated to assess their susceptibility rate varied from 7.1% “Voskhod” 57.6% “Majnat” genotypes. This study also comprehensively analyzed various biochemical parameters elucidate correlation BER plants. Our findings revealed range positively correlated incidence, including relative water content roots, number fruits per plant, vitamin C content, potassium content. Parameters related fruit quality, such as titratable acidity, peroxidase firmness degree, showed positive correlations incidence. Conversely, total yield hectare, chlorophyll average plant height, demonstrated strong negative suggesting potential protective effects against this disorder. highlights that higher marketable yields, ‘Voskhod’ (65 tons/ha), lower underscoring importance selecting appropriate genotype improving reducing blossom-end fields. cultivars high sensitivity, ‘Chelnok’ (26.3 require specially designed cultivation management avoid production declines.

Lyophilized organ extracts from livestock such as beef or elk are widely commercially proposed animal-sourced nutraceuticals. Such preparations contain blends of vitamins and nutrients that may be employed for general specific dietary supplementation. The first objective this study was to develop an optimized function-oriented manufacturing process stabilized organ-specific American buffalo (Bison bison). second the perform functional benchmarking obtained by focusing on antioxidant attributes, which key properties Methodologically, a two-step lyophilization process, hard-shell capsule formulation, quality control elements were adapted pharmaceutical technology practices. Stabilized (300 mg capsules) derived spleen, heart, liver, kidneys, lungs, thymus grass-fed grass-finished bison (born raised in tempered climate Geneva, Switzerland). Functional performed using orthogonal methods activity determination (TEAC, FRAP, H2O2 challenge assays). Firstly, developed biomass transformation enabled considered organs effectively while reaching desired attributes. Secondly, characterization formulated revealed significant wherein liver-derived materials found most potent. Thirdly, parameters (residual moisture levels TEAC) stable over 12 months storage following extract preparation. Overall, present provides evidence-based technical/functional rationale preparation lyophilized included nutraceutical preparations.

Lycopene (carotenoid) is a natural pigment with strong antioxidant properties. The taproots of red carrots (Daucus carota L.) exhibit coloration due to the presence high levels lycopene. However, candidate genes responsible for regulating lycopene accumulation in have yet be identified. In this study, variations carotenoid content were assessed at five different stages taproot development. results showed rapid between 45 and 60 days after sowing, peaking its highest level by 75 days. Weighted Gene Co-expression Network Analysis (WGCNA) was used construct co-expression modules associated accumulation. Notably, two identified (red mediumpurple3) exhibited significant correlations content. A total 24 differentially expressed (DEGs) enriched both Ontology (GO) Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) analyses, one pathway gene only KEGG analysis. Estrogen levels are the core factor influencing postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMOP). can affect progression of PMOP by regulating bone metabolism, major signaling pathways related to and modulating immune responses. When estrogen decline, activity Sirtuins (SIRTs) is reduced. SIRTs enzymes that function as NAD+-dependent deacetylases. modulate osteocyte function, sustain mitochondrial homeostasis, relevant pathways, thereby improving metabolic imbalances, reducing resorption, promoting formation. In PMOP, SIRT1, SIRT3, SIRT6 primarily affected. Oxidative stress (OS) a crucial in it generates excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) exacerbate PMOP. There certain interplay between OS. The reduced leads intensified OS accumulation ROS. return, ROS suppresses AMPK pathway synthesis NAD+, which consequently diminishes SIRTs. Natural SIRT activators natural antioxidants, characterized high safety, convenience, minimal side effects, represent potential therapeutic strategy for This study aims investigate mechanisms summarize strategies assist improvement
