Abstract We study the impact of work from home (WFH) on subjective well‐being during Covid period, where self‐selection individuals into telework is ruled out, at least part time, by stay‐at‐home orders. use a difference‐in‐differences approach with individual fixed effects and identify specific switching to telecommuting, separately any other confounding factor. In particular, our identification strategy avoids influence interpersonal heterogeneity exploiting multiple entries WFH, same individuals, different times. On average over especially full‐time, worsens mental health. also find positive but imprecisely measured part‐time WFH life satisfaction. However, this hides dynamic evolution, whereby initial deterioration gives place an adaptation process after couple months. uncover particularly pronounced fall in women children, first months; could be associated home‐schooling.

Telework has grown exponentially due to COVID-19, and revealed itself as a useful work condition with largely positive impact on employees’ well-being. Since many variables are involved in determining the relationships between telework well-being, this paper clarifies role of teleworkability, preference for telework, intensity; specifically, how first two well-being through intensity. A systematic review was carried out 2012 2022 analyze these relate. Scarce literature connecting subjects showed that teleworkability influence amount time employees wish telework. Teleworkability need be studied from multilevel perspective since country-, company-, individual-level characteristics them. In this paper we investigate the effect of working-from home (WFH) on job satisfaction. We use longitudinal data from Italy to estimate a difference-in-differences model, in which treatment group includes individuals who transitioned remote work 2020 due COVID-19 pandemic and continued 2021. perform analysis, extends various aspects self-reported satisfaction, by gender personality traits as per Big-Five framework, encompassing Openness Experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism. Our findings reveal that WFH exhibits positive influence albeit exclusively among women, with some heterogeneity, depending personal characteristics. Specifically, seems more noticeable women characterized elevated whereas those heightened conscientiousness or neuroticism levels tend experience less satisfaction when working remotely.

This paper investigates if and how Employment Protection Legislation (EPL) influences mental-health responses to older workers' job disruptions in Europe. It exploits labour market shocks during the first wave of COVID-19 pandemic, it is based on European data from SHARE survey, which each country characterised by a different level EPL. The analysis controls for individual characteristics other contextual factors via propensity score matching. Results show that distress following depends EPL, with significantly higher countries EPL more binding, especially among individuals lower education level. This study examines the impact of remote work on subjective well-being, such as productivity, engagement, and health condition, during COVID-19 pandemic. It also identifies characteristics workers jobs that contribute to continuous implementation work, using data from "Japan Household Panel Survey (JHPS)" "JHPS Special for (Waves 1 2)."
