Dissecting causal relationships between immune cells, plasma metabolites, and COPD: a mediating Mendelian randomization study

This
study
employed
Mendelian
Randomization
(MR)
to
investigate
the
causal
relationships
among
immune
cells,
COPD,
and
potential
metabolic
mediators.
Utilizing
summary
data
from
genome-wide
association
studies,
we
analyzed
731
cell
phenotypes,
1,400
plasma
metabolites,
COPD.
Bidirectional
MR
analysis
was
conducted
explore
links
between
cells
complemented
by
two-step
mediation
multivariable
identify
mediating
metabolites.
Causal

identified
41
phenotypes
with

reverse
causality.
