Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are one of the most prevalent classes environmental pollutants. Some evidence shows that PAHs could be involved in human obesity. However, little is known about distribution patterns adipose tissue (AT) and role on adipogenesis/lipogenesis. The aims this pilot study were to determine concentrations 16 defined as high-priority pollutants plasma French Polish bariatric patients, well their correlation with body mass index (BMI), AT adipokines expression levels. We finally investigated naphthalene cell proliferation, viability, differentiation 3T3-L1 preadipocytes. concentration was similar three types it significantly higher compared plasma, suggesting bioaccumulation. patients had PAH levels than ones. Only positively correlated BMI serum or chemerin, adiponectin resistin expression, but not who BMIs. Moreover, exposure increased proliferation preadipocytes lipogenesis, genes adipogenesis after differentiation. Taken together, more particularly an obesogenic molecule increase risk

Brown adipose tissue (BAT), a thermoregulatory organ known to promote energy expenditure, has been extensively studied as potential avenue combat obesity. Although BAT is the opposite of white (WAT) which responsible for storage, shares thermogenic capacity with beige that emerges from WAT depots. This unsurprising both and display huge difference in terms their secretory profile physiological role. In obesity, content declines these tissues acquire characteristics via process called “whitening”. rarely explored its implication whether it contributes or exacerbates Emerging research demonstrated BAT/beige whitening sophisticated metabolic complication obesity linked multiple factors. The current review provides clarification on influence various factors such diet, age, genetics, thermoneutrality, chemical exposure whitening. Moreover, defects mechanisms underpin are described. Notably, can be marked by accumulation large unilocular lipid droplets, mitochondrial degeneration, collapsed capacity, virtue dysfunction, devascularization, autophagy, inflammation.

The escalating prevalence of metabolic and cardiometabolic disorders, often characterized by oxidative stress chronic inflammation, poses significant health challenges globally. As the traditional therapeutic approaches may sometimes fall short in managing these conditions, attention is growing toward nutraceuticals worldwide; with compounds being obtained from natural sources potential beneficial effects shown to potentially support and, some cases, replace pharmacological treatments, especially for individuals who do not qualify conventional treatments. This review delves into burgeoning field nutraceutical-based modulation as a promising strategy attenuating inflammation disorders. Drawing an extensive body research, showcases various nutraceutical agents, such polyphenols, omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, which exhibit antioxidative anti-inflammatory properties. All can be classified novel drugs that are capable regulating pathways mitigate oxidative-stress- inflammation-associated diseases. By exploring mechanisms through interact immune responses, this highlights their restore redox balance temper inflammation. Additionally, prospects interventions discussed, encompassing bioavailability enhancement, personalized treatment approaches, clinical translation. Through comprehensive analysis latest scientific reports, article underscores avenue fight complex landscape particularly accentuating impact on cardiovascular health.

Adipose tissue (AT), composed mainly of adipocytes, plays a critical role in lipid control, metabolism, and energy storage. Once considered metabolically inert, AT is now recognized as dynamic endocrine organ that regulates food intake, homeostasis, insulin sensitivity, thermoregulation, immune responses. This review examines the multifaceted adiponectin, predominant adipokine released by AT, glucose fatty acid metabolism. We explore regulatory mechanisms its physiological effects potential therapeutic target for metabolic diseases such type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease liver disease. Furthermore, we analyze impact various dietary patterns, specific nutrients, physical activities on adiponectin levels, highlighting strategies to improve health. Our comprehensive provides insights into functions importance maintaining systemic homeostasis.

Obesity has been associated with the occurrence and prevalence of various chronic metabolic diseases. The management obesity evolved to focus not only on reducing weight, but also preventing obesity-related complications. Studies have shown that bioactive components in natural products like white kidney bean extract (WKBE), propolis ethanolic (PEE), chromium picolinate (CrPi3) showed anti-obesity properties. However, no studies examined outcomes combining any these nutraceutical supplements. We compared effects HFD supplemented WKBE, WKBE+PEE, or WKBE+PEE+CrPi3 against control obese groups using Sprague-Dawley rats fed a 45% high-fat diet as an vivo model. Nutritional parameters, biochemical biomarkers cardiovascular disease, liver function, gut health were among comparable effects. Our findings three supplements had synergetic effect weight gain, food utilization rate, abdominal fat, serum lipids, arterial hepatic risk blood glucose level, addition improving renal function microbiota. attributed α-amylase inhibitor action flavonoids, polyphenol content PEE, which potentiated CrPi3 resulting further reduction normalization certain parameters.
