Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) exhibits high mortality rates in the advanced stage (>90 %). Sorafenib (SORA) is a targeted therapy approved for treatment of HCC; however, reported response rate to such therapeutic suboptimal (<3%). Piperine (PIP) an alkaloid demonstrated exert direct tumoricidal activity HCC and improve pharmacokinetic profiles anticancer drugs including SORA. In this study, we developed strategy efficacy outcomes using PIP as add-on support first-line SORA biodegradable Poly (D, L-Lactide-co-glycolide, PLGA) nanoparticles (NPs). (both exhibit low aqueous solubility) were co-loaded into PLGA NPs (PNPs) stabilized with various concentrations polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). The PIP-loaded PNPs (SP-PNPs) characterized Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy, X-ray Powder Diffraction (XRD), Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Release these from SP-PNPs was investigated vitro at both physiological acidic pH, kinetic models employed assess mechanism drug release. against cells (HepG2) also evaluated. Current research in cancer therapy focuses on personalized therapies, through nanotechnology-based targeted drug delivery systems. Particularly, controlled release with nanoparticles (NPs) can be designed to safely transport various active agents, optimizing specific organs and tumors, minimizing side effects. The use of microfluidics (MFs) this field has stood out against conventional methods by allowing precise control over parameters like size, structure, composition, mechanical/biological properties nanoscale carriers. This review compiles applications the production core-shell NPs (CSNPs) for therapy, discussing versatility inherent microchannel and/or micromixer setups showcasing how these utilized individually or combination, as well technology allows development new advances more efficient fabrication nanoformulations. Prostate cancer (PCa) with a high incidence worldwide is serious threat to men's health. Despite the continuous development of treatment strategies for PCa in recent years, long-term prognosis patients still poor. Hence, discovery and novel, secure, efficient therapeutic approaches hold significant clinical significance. Although sorafenib (SOR) displays potential as option PCa, its efficacy hindered by drug resistance, limited water solubility, rapid metabolism. Therefore, we proposed prepare nanoparticles (named SOR@8P4 NPs) utilizing phenylalanine-based poly(ester amide) polymer (8P4) carrier enhance solubility stability SOR improve targeting bioavailability. NPs had showed acid-responsive release at acidic tumor microenvironment. Additionally, demonstrated more remarkable anticancer, antimetastatic, antiproliferative abilities vitro, compared those free drugs. significantly inhibited growth vivo.
