Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) are intricate, web-like formations composed of DNA, histones, and antimicrobial proteins, released by neutrophils. These structures participate in a wide array physiological pathological activities, including immune rheumatic diseases damage to target organs. Recently, the connection between NETs cancer has garnered significant attention. Within tumor microenvironment metabolism, exhibit multifaceted roles, such as promoting proliferation migration cells, influencing redox balance, triggering angiogenesis, driving metabolic reprogramming. This review offers comprehensive analysis link emphasizing areas that remain underexplored. include interaction with mitochondria, their effect on states within tumors, involvement reprogramming, contribution angiogenesis tumors. Such insights lay theoretical foundation for deeper understanding role development. Moreover, also delves into potential therapeutic strategies suggests future research directions, offering new perspectives treatment other related diseases.

Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) have received significant attention in recent years for their role both the immune response and vascular damage associated with inflammation. Platelets been described as critical components of NETs since initial description this physio-pathological neutrophils. shown to play a dual responders also stimulators NETs. The direct interaction DNA leads entrapment platelets into NETs, phenomenon that significantly contributes thrombotic complications inflammation neutrophil activation, while paracrine stimulation neutrophils by has initiate process NET formation. In review, we provide comprehensive our current understanding molecular mechanisms underlying entrapping and, parallel, platelet-driven cellular responses promoting We then illustrate established examples contribution pathologies, describe important questions remain be answered regarding formation NET-dependent cardiovascular complication, highlight fundamental steps taken towards application platelets' development novel therapies.

ABSTRACT Neutrophil extrusion of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) in a process called NETosis provides immune defense against bacteria. It has been observed that bacteria are capable activating neutrophils to release NETs subsequently kill them or at least prevent their local spread within host tissue. However, existing studies have mainly focused on the isolated function NETs, with less attention given anti-bacterial mechanisms through interactions other cell populations. The net effect these complex intercellular interactions, which may act additively, synergistically, antagonistically, is critical determinant outcomes host–pathogen interactions. This review summarizes underlying classic NET formation and crosstalk system, offering novel insights aimed balancing anti-microbial potential inflammatory risks.

Despite advances in the treatment of breast cancer, disease continues to exhibit high global morbidity and mortality. The importance neutrophils cancer development has been increasingly recognized.Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) are web-like structures released into space by activated neutrophils, serving as a potential antimicrobial mechanism for capturing eliminating microorganisms. The roles played NETs have subject intense research last decade. In current evidence suggests that involved various stages development, particularly during metastasis. In this review, we try provide an updated overview metastasis. These include: 1) facilitating systemic dissemination cells; 2) promoting cancer-associated inflammation; 3) thrombosis; 4) pre-metastatic niche formation; 5) awakening dormant cells. The translational implications also discussed.Understanding relationship between metastasis is expected important insights developing new therapeutic strategies patients.

Invariant natural killer T cells (iNKTs), a type of unconventional cells, share features with NK and have an invariant cell receptor (TCR), which recognizes lipid antigens loaded on CD1d molecules, major histocompatibility complex class I (MHC-I)-like protein. This interaction produces the secretion wide array cytokines by these including interferon gamma (IFN-γ) interleukin 4 (IL-4), allowing iNKTs to link innate adaptive responses. Interestingly, molecules that bind been identified enable modulation highlighting their potential pro-inflammatory immunosuppressive capacities, as required in different clinical settings. In this review, we summarize key current understandings modulatory α-galactosylceramide (α-GalCer) variants, model iNKT activator can shift outcome immune Furthermore, discuss advances development strategies modulate target pathologies are considerable healthcare burdens.
