Abstract Purpose Good sleep is one of the necessary conditions to ensure normal performance physiological and psychological functions college students. This study aimed explore relationship between mobile phone addiction bedtime procrastination among Chinese students mediating mechanisms physical exercise anxiety two, with a view seek ways prevent intervene in students’ improve their quality. Methods Using SPSS 29.0 analysis Bootstrap’s method, 3,800 first-year students, sophomores, juniors were given Mobile Phone Addiction Tendency Scale, Bedtime Procrastination Physical Activity Anxiety Scale. The results analyses included mediation tests effect activity. Results correlation revealed significant positive correlations ( r = 0.149, p < 0.01) as well 0.497, 0.01). Additionally, there was negative activity -0.447, also found have -0.506, -0.424, Furthermore, showed 0.334, acted substantial mediators nighttime procrastination. Both had considerable masking effects, amounting 50.3% 25.1%, respectively. played chain role procrastination, significant, size 13.4%. Objective This study investigates the mediating role of social anxiety in relationship between physical activity and problematic smartphone use among college students, examines moderating gender within this model. Methods From April to May 2023, a survey was conducted involving 2905 undergraduate students from various medical schools Shandong, China. Participants completed Physical Activity Rating Scale (PARS-3), Mobile Phone Addiction Tendency for College Students (MPATS), Social Anxiety (IAS). Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, hierarchical regression analysis other methods were employed explore relationships variables. The effect on mobile phone addiction assessed using bootstrapping method, while evaluated PROCESS macro's model 14. Results findings revealed that scores 44.00 (35.00, 50.00), score 16.00 (8.00, 32.00), 45.00 (42.00, 52.00). significantly negatively correlated with both ( P &lt; 0.001), positively 0.001). partially mediated (β = −0.04, 95% CI −0.05 −0.02), mediation proportion 57.14%. Sex played −0.30, −0.39 −0.21). Conclusion influences directly indirectly through anxiety. moderates influence use, highlighting need gender-specific interventions demographic.

The psychological and physiological health of undergraduates was correlated with the sleep quality, which can be improved through increasing physical activity. However, correlations between activity quality are subject to various factors. In this study, we investigated effects self-control mobile phone addiction on undergraduates’ at behavioral levels. Data collected a survey convenient sample 2,274 students in China. study utilized scales activity, self-control, quantitatively evaluate impact undergraduates. were analyzed using SPSS 26.0, including descriptive statistics, confidence tests, common method bias correlation analysis, hypothesis tests. Pearson analysis shows that significantly (r = -0.541, p < 0.001), addiction. Regression had significant positive regression effect (standardized coefficient β 0.234, negative (β –0.286, –0.351, 0.001). Further, chain mediation model → proposed. findings provide basic data for college promote improve quality.

This study aimed to examine the mediation effect of mindfulness and self-control in relationship between emotion regulation mobile phone addiction Turkish adolescents. Additionally, psychometric properties Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire-Short Form Self-Control Scale were investigated on adolescents this study. Our findings indicated that is positively correlated with dysfunctional negatively associated mindfulness. Furthermore, was self-control, mindfulnessand Dysfunctional regulation, had direct significant effects addiction. found partially mediate association Findings from investigation confirm degree heightened by regulation; however, these associations can be mitigated practicing self-control. In other words, increases through low mindfulness; practices reduce effects.
