This study investigates the use of porous structured carbon felt (CF) as a substrate for preparation lead dioxide (CF/PbO2) anode electrochemical oxidation Rhodamine B (RhB). Compared to traditional titanium-based (Ti/PbO2) and graphite sheet-based (GS/PbO2) anodes, CF/PbO2 exhibited superior electrocatalytic activity, achieving RhB degradation efficiency exceeding 99%. After 10 cycles, activity remained robust, with over 97%. Fluorescence spectroscopy, quenching experiments, tests indicate that behaviour on GS/PbO2 anodes was governed by direct electron transfer, while indirect via •HO radicals pivotal Ti/PbO2 anode. LC-MS analysis identified intermediates degradation, contributing proposed pathway. provides an efficient organic pollutants in water.

The review aimed to identify differences and similarities in the adsorption process of five azo dyes [congo red (CR), reactive black 5 (RB5), methyl orange (MO), II (OII), (MR)] on natural materials, biosorbents, industrial agricultural waste, or biomass, which are alternatives costly activated carbon locally available. were characterized compared based their molecular structure weight, water solubility, acid dissociation constant, n-octanol-water partition coefficient, maximum absorbance. For this reason, present study focuses comparative Life Cycle Assessment Costing four scale-up scenarios aiming mono di-azo reactive dyes wastewater. Two reactors (sequencing batch reactor two-phase partitioning) were compared different reaction environments (i.e., single anaerobic sequential anaerobic-aerobic) conditions (different pH, organic loading rates polymer). In accordance with results each scenario, it was found that three technical parameters leading change environmental profiles efficiency dyes, type dye eliminated, pollutant influent concentration. limitation increasing related biomass inhibition could overcame through novel two-phased partitioning bioreactor. polymer system may help restore performance (84.5 %), reducing toxic effects effluents consequently decreasing impact. terms impact, reduction surface marine waters homologous anaerobic-aerobic sequencing reactor. benefits achieved nature comes an economic burden consumption polymer. ABSTRACT The printing and dyeing industry globally faces a critical challenge with wastewater generation disposal, posing significant risks to public health the environment due hazardous reactive dyes. Various physical, chemical, biological processes are used for treating this wastewater. While chemical treatments effectively address dye-related issues, proper disposal of resulting waste remains problematic. Physical struggle complex compounds, using microorganisms show promise but heavily influenced by operating conditions. Single have limitations, thus necessitating exploration hybrid techniques.
