Methods: subscribed received daily psychoeducational SMS messages for months. Participants were invited complete standardized self-rated web-based questionnaires assess posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), measured Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 scale (GAD-7), Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Checklist-Civilian Version (PCL-C), Brief Resilience Scale (BRS), respectively. assessment was conducted at baseline (enrolment) weeks, three months, enrollment. Results: One hundred thirty-one subscribers participated program, eighteen completed both any follow-up survey. A total 31 participants survey 107 surveys recorded all time points. prevalence psychological problems among as follows: likely major depressive (MDD) 47.1%, generalized anxiety (GAD) 37.5%, low 22.2%, PTSD 13.3%. At post-intervention, MDD, GAD, respondents reduced; however, a statistically significant reduction reported only MDD (−35.3%, X2 (1) = 2.55, p 0.03). no change between post-intervention. decrease mean scores PHQ-9, GAD-7, PCL-C, BRS from post-intervention by 25.8%, 24.7%, 9.5%, 0.3%, However, GAD-7 with effect size (t (15) 2.73, 0.02). Conclusions: results this suggest well severity program. is cost-effective, convenient, easily scalable program that augment other services managing burdens

Abstract Objective We aimed to develop a self‐report measure of therapist acceptance telepsychotherapy based on the Unified Theory Acceptance and Use Technology (UTAUT) framework. Methods Using cross‐sectional survey design, 1265 therapists completed UTAUT‐T, as well additional questions. Results Confirmatory analysis indicated that original UTAUT model did not fit context well. Exploratory factor specified better‐fitting five‐factor model, which showed good internal validity ( χ 2 = 17,753.36, RMSEA 0.063, TLI 0.886, SRMSR 0.04). The five UTAUT‐T subscales high consistency (Cronbach's α 0.86) together predicted intention use online therapy in future R 0.42, F (5, 1259) 181.9, p < 0.001). Conclusion 21‐item offers promising towards using it future. Future studies convergent predictive are warranted.

Chronic exposure to stressors and potentially psychologically traumatic events contributes the high prevalence of mental health disorders in correctional workers (CWs) other public safety personnel (PSP). Digital interventions are an accessible scalable method improving maintaining this population. The current review explores benefits digital for PSP–with a focus on CWs–and how these innovations can address limitations in-person care. A systematic literature search five databases (Medline, PsycInfo, Embase, CINAHL, Google Scholar) was conducted until March 2022. yielded 16 publications that focused or care available CWs PSP. were summarized into categories which discussed (1) their ability enhance accessibility reduce stigma; (2) provision evidence-based structured psychotherapy programs; (3) variability degree therapist engagement; (4) integration proactive interventions; (5) enhancing engagement by acknowledging unique experiences interpersonal relationships. Although technologies still infancy, there is strong evidence support effectiveness ameliorating symptoms distress. Future research should consider ethnicity, gender, culture, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status be integrated therapies interplay between different stakeholders organizations impact online programs.

Symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are common among surrogate decision makers patients with chronic critical illness (CCI). PTSD symptoms can be categorized into clusters including intrusion, avoidance, and hyperarousal, each which has been associated distinct outcomes treatment responses. Our objective was to determine symptom cluster predominant surrogates CCI.Secondary analysis data from a clinical trial communication intervention. The original conducted in medical intensive care units at three tertiary-care centers one community hospital.Patients CCI (≥7 d mechanical ventilation not expected die or weaned the ventilator subsequent 72 hr) their surrogates.None.Surrogate were measured 90 days after onset patient using Impact Events Scale-Revised (IES-R). The IES-R includes total score (range, 0-88, higher scores indicate severe symptoms) as well subscales that assess hyperarousal (range intrusion avoidance 0-32 range 0-24). Intrusion most (mean score, 10.3; 95% CI, 9.3-11.2), followed by 8.0; 7.2-8.8). Hyperarousal lowest 5.1; 4.5-5.7). In multivariable linear regression model, we found who died had odds (β, 5.52; p < 0.0001) 3.29; = 0.001) than lived, even adjusting for baseline anxiety depression. Patient death symptoms.Intrusive thoughts experiencing CCI, intensified died. These results have potential inform tailored strategies reduce this population.

Military members and veterans exhibit higher rates of injuries illnesses such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) because their increased exposure to combat other traumatic scenarios. Novel treatments for PTSD are beginning emerge increasingly leverage advances in gaming technologies, virtual reality. Without assessing the degree technology acceptance perception usability end users, including military members, veterans, attending therapists staff, it is difficult determine whether a technology-based treatment will be used successfully wider clinical practice. The Unified Theory Acceptance Use Technology model commonly address applications 5 domains.Using model, purpose this study was multimodal motion-assisted memory desensitization reconsolidation (3MDR) on reality system primary user group (military with treatment-resistant PTSD, 3MDR therapists, environment operators). This mixed methods embedded pilot included (n=3) (n=8) diagnosis combat-related well (n=13) operators (n=5) who completed pre-post questionnaires before completion 6 weekly sessions 3MDR. A partial least squares structural equation analyze questionnaire results. Qualitative data from interviews were assessed using thematic analysis.Effort expectancy, which most notable predictor behavioral intention, after course system, whereas all constructs demonstrated no significant change.
