BACKGROUND Military members and veterans exhibit higher rates of injuries illnesses such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) because their increased exposure to combat other traumatic scenarios. Novel treatments for PTSD are beginning emerge increasingly leverage advances in gaming technologies, virtual reality. Without assessing the degree technology acceptance perception usability end users, including military members, veterans, attending therapists staff, it is difficult determine whether a technology-based treatment will be used successfully wider clinical practice. The Unified Theory Acceptance Use Technology model commonly address applications 5 domains. OBJECTIVE Using model, purpose this study was multimodal motion-assisted memory desensitization reconsolidation (3MDR) on reality system primary user group (military with treatment-resistant PTSD, 3MDR therapists, environment operators). METHODS This mixed methods embedded pilot included (n=3) (n=8) diagnosis combat-related well (n=13) operators (n=5) who completed pre-post questionnaires before completion 6 weekly sessions 3MDR. A partial least squares structural equation analyze questionnaire results. Qualitative data from interviews were assessed using thematic analysis. RESULTS Effort expectancy, which most notable predictor behavioral intention, after course system, whereas all constructs demonstrated no significant change. The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically changed psychotherapy practices. Psychotherapy around the world shifted from predominantly face-to-face settings to overwhelmingly online since beginning of pandemic. Many studies have been published on this topic, but there no review literature focused experience psychotherapists. Our goal was identify challenging issues teletherapy, including efficiency consultations and extent which they are accepted by therapists patients. A PubMed search using [(“Teletherapy” OR “Telebehavioral health” “telepsychotherapy”) AND (“COVID-19”)] string retrieved 46 mental health professionals, as detailed in a PRISMA flow diagram. Many clinical sites shifted towards digital delivery of mental health services during the COVID-19 pandemic. There is still much to learn regarding tailoring digitally delivered interventions for trauma-affected populations. The current study examined perceptions Canadian clinicians who provided psychotherapies utilized Specifically, we explored shift use, what changed with this rapid shift, needs, problems, and solutions arose, important future considerations associated delivering trauma-focused adjunct treatments digitally. Survey data were collected from 12 clinician participants. Surveys adapted Alberta Quality Matrix Health Unified Theory Acceptance Use Technology model. As a follow-up, participants invited participate in either semi-structured qualitative interview or focus group further explore their perspectives on therapies. The digital delivery of mental health services became increasingly common following the onset COVID-19 pandemic. There is still much to learn regarding tailoring interventions for trauma-affected populations (military members, Veterans, public safety personnel). Through current pilot study, we explored perceptions digitally delivered psychotherapies utilized populations, as reported by Canadian military and personnel who completed such interventions. Quantitative data were collected from 11 clients with posttraumatic stress injury). Survey questions based on Alberta Quality Matrix Health Unified Theory Acceptance Use Technology model. As a follow-up, invited partake in semi-structured interview further explore their perspectives trauma-focused adjunct therapies. Four participated an interview. client participants that trauma therapies offered similar treatment effectiveness in-person while also improving access. indicated several unique advantages delivery, including increased accessibility treatment, cost-effectiveness, more efficient use resources, although small sample size limits generalizability our findings. Chronic exposure to stressors and potentially psychologically traumatic events contributes the high prevalence of mental health disorders in correctional workers (CWs) other public safety personnel (PSP). Digital interventions are an accessible scalable method improving maintaining this population. The current review explores benefits digital for PSP–with a focus on CWs–and how these innovations can address limitations in-person care. A systematic literature search five databases (Medline, PsycInfo, Embase, CINAHL, Google Scholar) was conducted until March 2022. yielded 16 publications that focused or care available CWs PSP. were summarized into categories which discussed (1) their ability enhance accessibility reduce stigma; (2) provision evidence-based structured psychotherapy programs; (3) variability degree therapist engagement; (4) integration proactive interventions; (5) enhancing engagement by acknowledging unique experiences interpersonal relationships. Although technologies still infancy, there is strong evidence support effectiveness ameliorating symptoms distress. Future research should consider ethnicity, gender, culture, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status be integrated therapies interplay between different stakeholders organizations impact online programs.

Abstract During the COVID-19 pandemic, many clinical sites shifted towards digital delivery of mental health services. However, there is still much to learn regarding using digitally delivered psychotherapies in trauma-affected populations, including military members, Veterans, and public safety personnel. This study examined perceptions utilized for trauma-maffected as reported by Canadian personnel who completed such interventions clinicians provided them. Specifically, we explored imposed shift use, what changed with this rapid shift, needs, problems, solutions arose, important future considerations associated delivering trauma-focused adjunct treatments digitally. Quantitative survey data were collected from 11 patients (military post-traumatic stress injury) 12 clinicians. Public safety personnel (PSP) experience an elevated risk of mental health problems and face barriers to treatment. Internet-delivered cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT) has been tailored PSP improve access care. In this study, we sought investigate perceptions ICBT, particularly among those with without prior knowledge ICBT between leaders non-leaders.
