BACKGROUND Just-in-time adaptive interventions (JITAIs) use mobile, digital tools to provide individuals with personalized at the optimal time and in context. Accordingly, JITAIs are promising for advancing accessible, equitable, evidence-based treatment behavioral health. To guide future work this space, research is needed examine efficacy of health conditions better understand their mechanisms action. OBJECTIVE In proposed systematic review, we will investigate improving (1) distal outcomes (here, health) (2) proximal (eg, emotion regulation). Background In the digital age, there is an emerging area of research focusing on well-being (DWB), yet conceptual frameworks this novel construct are lacking. The current conceptualization either approaches concept as absence ill-being, running risk pathologizing individual use, or follows general subjective framework, failing to highlight complex nature at play. Objective This preregistered study aimed address gap by using a network analysis, which examined strength relationships among affective (digital stress and web-based hedonic well-being), cognitive (online intrinsic needs satisfaction), social connectedness state empathy) dimensions DWB their associations with some major protective factors (ie, emotional regulation, nomophobia, literacy, self-control, problematic internet coping styles, online exposure). Methods participants were 578 adults (mean age 38.7, SD 13.14 y; 277/578, 47.9% women) recruited from United Kingdom States who completed survey. Two models estimated. first one assessed multiple DWB, second between related factors. In this narrative, comprehensive, and updated review of the literature, we summarize evidence about effectiveness interventions aimed at reducing emotion dysregulation improving regulation in children, adolescents, adults. After introducing from a theoretical standpoint, discuss factors commonly associated with regulation, including neurobiological neuropsychological mechanisms, role childhood adverse experiences psycho–social onset dysregulation. We then present pharmacological non-pharmacological aiming promoting across lifespan. Although our was not intended as traditional systematic review, search only restricted to reviews meta-analyses, highlighted important implications provided recommendations for clinical practice future research field.

Background Evidence supports the effectiveness of serious games in health education, but little is known about their effects on psychosocial well-being children general population. Objective This study aimed to investigate potential a mobile game–based safety education program improving children’s and outcomes. Methods Safe City roleplaying game specifically designed educate Hong Kong safety. randomized controlled trial included 340 grades 4 through 6. Intervention arm participants (n=170) were instructed play for weeks, whereas control received booklet. All completed survey knowledge behaviors problems at baseline (T1), 1 month postintervention (T2), 3 months (T3). Cumulative scores mini-game performance analyzed as proxy extent exposure game. Outcome data using 2-sample 2-tailed t tests compare mean change from T1 T2 T3 intervention versus participants. The association use with outcome changes was generalized additive models. Results No significant differences found between arms. However, analyses showed that higher associated improvements safe behavior (P=.03) internalizing (P=.01) T3. In recent years, emotion regulation and intervention within the autistic community have become highly significant areas of focus in autism research. While children with are often primary studies, research specifically targeting adolescents is relatively scarce, there a lack systematic integration approaches for this group. This article aims to outline interventions across three domains: emotional, social, recreational, describe various each domain. Emotional include group methods, Awareness Skills Enhancement (EASE) techniques, through humor. Social encompass social skills cognitive behavioral therapy. Recreational involve music therapy, therapeutic horseback riding, drama-based interventions. A comprehensive review these methods indicates that most demonstrated improvements among autism; however, individual require further refinement. paper contributes existing literature on lays foundation future directions.
