Abstract This study aimed to assess the effects of dietary Cyanus depressus (CD) extract on rainbow trout ( Oncorhynchus mykiss ) physiology and health. Fish with an average weight 3.29 ± 0.34 g were allocated four feeding groups, receiving diets containing CD at doses 0 (Control), 0.5 (CD05), 1 (CD1), 2 (CD2) kg −1 for a period 60 days. Results revealed significant improvements in final body weight, gain, specific growth rate groups supplemented g/kg extract. Lipase activity increased notably fish fed CD0.5, CD1, CD2 diets. The CD1 group exhibited highest trypsin activity, while displayed amylase activity. Analysis gene expression levels superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx) showed marked increases across all compared control, most enhancement observed Significant variations immunity-related genes among treatments, tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) found diet enriched immune-related was more prominent than control group. Notably, extract, heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) group, decreased CD05 remained statistically unchanged control. Additionally, supplementation altered composition abundance intestinal microbiota trout. In conclusion, our suggests that has potential enhancing various physiological health aspects trout, particularly when g/kg.

Industrial fruit by-products are now being utilized as animal feeds for several reasons. They may substitute the conventional cereal feeds, and also offer economic environmental benefits. One of most important industrial is apple pomace, which can be used a source energy in ration ruminant species, including dairy cattle. The aim present study was to evaluate effect feeding dried pomace cattle on ruminal fermentation, fatty acid concentration, microbial populations, methane production. experiment lasted 64 days conducted with 4 cannulated commercial cows. control animals received standard diet, while experimental fed diet supplemented 150 g/kg DM pomace. Ruminal fluid samples were collected at three different time intervals. obtained 0-, 3-, 6-h post-feeding. assess ammonia pH, volatile acids (VFA), long-chain (FA), population. A number fermentation variables changed result addition diet. pH slightly increased (p < 0.01) concentration decreased by 46%. There significant decrease total protozoa count an increase acids. In addition, there decline emission = 0.05) 8% due feeding. To sum up, this demonstrated positive dietary metabolism emissions, alongside VFAs, higher nutrient digestibility, milk Also, beneficial changes profile resulting from reduced biohydrogenation observed although content C18:2 cis 9 trans 11 isomer noticed. inclusion DAP serve valuable, sustainable, environmentally friendly component

Abstract Sorghum forage was ensiled for 90 days at two dry matter (DM) contents (27 vs. 39%) without or with Lactiplantibacillus plantarum inoculation. On day of fermentation, silages were sampled to assess the microbial community dynamics and metabolome profile. L. inoculation improved silage quality, as shown by a lower pH greater acetic acid concentration. Loss DM remained unaffected but in low- high-DM sorghum (14.4 6.62%). The microbiome analysis revealed that Pseudomonas congelans represented dominant species epiphytic microbiota both before ensiling. However, buchneri end Ensiling fermentation resulted distinct metabolic changes varying content. This study investigated the effects of a phytochemical-Lactobacilli blend (PEL) on performance and health late-pregnant does. Thirty Zaraibi does (30.9 ± 0.37 kg body weight, 3-3.5 years old, 90 days pregnant) were randomly assigned to three experimental groups, ensuring equal distribution based parity, litter size, previous lactation milk production. The fed either control diet (no supplementation) or PEL-supplemented (control plus 2 g 4 PEL per day) for 60 days. supplementation linearly improved (p < 0.05) feed intake, nutrient digestibility, ruminal concentrations acetic propionic acids, while significantly reducing ammonia-N concentrations. reduced feeding rumination times increasing idling time. Blood hematological parameters with supplementation. Serum protein, liver kidney function indicators, lipid metabolism, cortisol, thyroid hormone levels 0.01) in linear manner Antioxidant status, pro-inflammatory cytokines, immune response enhanced both quadratically treatment. Gene expression analysis revealed upregulation growth, immune, antioxidant-related genes These findings suggest that supplementing pregnant day can effectively enhance their performance, health, metabolic status.
