Mental stress may lead to ovarian dysfunction. Psychological disrupts function, leading adverse in vitro fertilization outcomes, premature insufficiency and decreased reserve. Furthermore, psychological caused by function infertility can exacerbate the mental burden. In animals, leads insufficiency, resulting in irregular estrous cycles The present study summarizes effects of psychogenic on underlying mechanisms, highlighting involvement hypothalamic‑pituitary‑adrenal, sympathetic‑adrenal‑medullary hypothalamic‑pituitary‑ovarian axes, as well neuroendocrine‑metabolic network. Moreover, review outlines intervention metabolic strategies for improving offering potential new approaches treating hypofunction. aims clarify understanding stress‑induced dysfunction propose alternative infertility.

Objective Studies on the association between sleep behavior and health often ignored confounding effects of biorhythm-related factors. This study aims to explore independent joint duration quality suboptimal self-rated (SRH) in medical students. Methods Cross-sectional study. Proportional stratified cluster sampling was used randomly recruit students from various specialties at a university eastern China. Our questionnaire mainly included information basic demographic characteristics, SRH, behavior, The SRH were assessed by logistic regression after controlling for potential confounders. Results Of 1,524 (mean age = 19.9 years, SD 1.2 years; 59.1% female), 652 (42.8%) had SRH. Most (51.5%) slept 7 h/night, followed ≥8 (29.1%) ≤ 6 h (19.4%). After adjusting characteristics factors, compared with who adjusted ORs (95% CI ) those h/night 1.36 (1.03, 1.81) 2.28 (1.60, 3.26), respectively ( P < 0.001 trend); good quality, (95%CI) fair poor 4.12 (3.11, 5.45) 11.60 (6.57, 20.46), trend). Further, highest odds OR 24.25, 95% 8.73, 67.34). Conclusions Short independently jointly associated higher among

The impacts of long-term high exposure to PM2.5 in workplace on glucose metabolism asymptomatic working adults (AWAs) have rarely been explored. To assess the relationship between and general heavily polluted regions. We used baseline data participants from Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Medical Examination Cohort, which recruited undergoing medical examinations. A machine learning-based spatial-temporal model was estimate daily average concentrations participants' workplaces. We assessed association (three years prior interview) fasting plasma (FPG) using generalized linear mixed-effects models (GLMM) with inclusion potential confounders. Stratified analyses by sex, age, BMI smoking status, two pollutant were further performed.A total 37,619 individuals interviewed 28,865 included analyses. mean FPG 5.20 (0.96) mmol/L, estimated three-year concentration 69.51 (6.92) μg/m3. detected a significant FPG, 10 µg/m3 increase associated 0.075 (95%CI: 0.050-0.100) mmol/L elevated 25% (OR = 1.25, 95%CI: 1.05-1.50) odds abnormal control confounding. remained males, aged > 44 years, overweight and/or obese people, both smokers non-smokers, when NO2, SO2, O3, CO model.Long-term among AWAs. Male, middle-aged, AWAs more susceptible regardless status.

Background Discrimination may contribute to sleep health disparities among women, yet limited research has investigated the association between discrimination and insomnia with short sleep. Methods Results Among a racially ethnically diverse sample of women (N=25 920; mean age, 72.2±6.1 years), we relationship symptoms duration. Poisson models robust variance were fit examine insomnia, duration (short <7 hours or long >9 versus recommended 7–9 hours), phenotype adjusted for covariates. Insomnia symptoms, sleep, high reported by 53%, 11%, 15%, 40% respectively. Women reporting low more likely report (insomnia: prevalence ratio, 1.15 [95% CI, 1.13–1.18]; sleep: 1.24 1.16–1.34]; phenotype: 1.45 1.31–1.61]). In exploratory analyses, was present Asian White whereas Hispanic (long sleep) women.
