Scrutinizing Indonesian pre-service teachers’ technological knowledge in utilizing AI-powered tools

Educators
have
widely
adopted
artificial
intelligence
(AI)
as
a
product
of
technology
to
prepare
teaching
materials
and
enhance
their
understanding
integration
in
language
teaching.
As
prospective
teachers
who
may
teach
digital
native
students
later,
pre-service
must
be
more
capable
knowledgeable
technologically-based
pedagogy,
materials,
assessment.
This
study
aimed
explore
English
foreign
(EFL)
teachers’
technological
knowledge
utilizing
AI-powered
tools
using
the
pedagogical
content
(TPACK)
framework
investigate
strategies
advanced
knowledge.
mixed-method
research
design
employed
five-point
Likert
scale
questionnaire
semi-structured
interview
instruments
collect
data.
Fifty-five
EFL
were
purposively
selected.
Data
from
analyzed
statistically
descriptively,
data
interviews
thematically.
The
first
findings
this
comprehensively
revealed
that
exhibit
moderate
level
proficiency
addressing
(TK),
(TPK),
(TCK),
TPACK
tools.

This
quasi-experimental
study
investigates
the
effectiveness
of
Nearpod,
a
student-response-system,
on
elevating
student
engagement
in
Foreign
Language
for
Specific
Purposes
(FLSP)
classes.
Utilizing
Nearpod's
interactive
features
to
deliver
materials
and
activities
through
shareable
link,
aimed
create
dynamic
immersive
learning
experience.
The
involved
74
students
from
an
FLSP
course,
divided
into
control
experimental
groups.
