However, its bioavailability is very low, limiting potential. We have developed novel curcumin formulation, TS-P1, which exhibits an 85.2-fold higher than raw curcumin. Objective: The aim this study was to evaluate safety long-term intake highly bioavailable curcumin, in healthy Japanese adults. Methods: conducted randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind, parallel-group comparison study. Ninety adults were assigned either placebo or TS-P1 group and took 150 mg daily 12 weeks. Physical examinations, blood analysis, urinalysis, medical examinations performed every 4 Results: There no adverse events attributed test foods during period. mean change body weight mass index (BMI) at week baseline showed significantly greater reduction group. As there food calorie between groups period, observed appeared be due effect through improved bioavailability. Conclusions: These results suggest that containing 150mg safe.
