Abstract In the context of higher education institutions, adoption learning management systems (LMS) represents a critical strategic decision, influenced by complex factors and evolving pedagogical practices. As digitalization accelerates, administrators face challenge selecting most suitable LMS solution amidst plethora options. This paper proposes novel approach to address this challenge, leveraging intuitionistic fuzzy (IF) criteria importance through intercriteria correlation (CRITIC)This work suggests ranking order strategy that combines IF (CRITIC) -alternative method accounting for two-step normalization (AROMAN) Method. technique aims overcome hurdle. Drawing upon insights from multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM), methodology offers systematic framework evaluating alternatives while inherent uncertainties subjectivities in process.The AROMAN technique—which conducts an IFenvironment is coupled with CRITIC paradigm, which examines correlations, improve complicated uncertain decision-making. This study introduces an approach to assess the adoption of effective supply chain management practice (SCMP) in petroleum sector, a vital component any country’s economy. Enhancing sector’s performance requires implementation SCMP address performance-related issues sustainable manner. For that, best-worst method (BWM) determined weights four identified challenges and subsequently, alternative ranking order accounting for two-step normalization (AROMAN) evaluated alternatives overcome these challenges. To show applicability our approach, national oil corporation Kenya is considered as case study. This study tackles the challenge of identifying optimal investment sectors amid growing importance environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors, which are often complex conflicting. research aims to effectively evaluate prioritize ten based on twelve ESG criteria by integrating expert evaluations with two advanced multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods. Three teams assessed each sector’s performance these using fuzzy logic manage uncertainties in judgments. The MEREC (MEthod Removal Effects Criteria) identified biodiversity land use as most critical factor, while transparency disclosure was least significant. AROMAN (Alternative Ranking Order Method Accounting for two-step Normalization) method further used rank alternative sectors, impact investing funds emerging top choice, followed renewable energy sustainable responsible funds. Conversely, ESG-compliant stocks, ESG-focused exchange-traded funds, real estate trusts ranked lowest. study’s findings were validated through comparisons other MCDM tools sensitivity analysis, confirming robustness proposed model. offers a valuable framework investors looking incorporate considerations into their decision-making, promoting practices.
