Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) ranks as the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. It presents a significant and rising global health challenge due to its complex development, high mortality rate, poor prognosis. The primary treatment methods include chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery, yet each is associated with severe side effects. While combination therapies can enhance outcomes, they also tend amplify adverse For this reason, prevention HCC has major impact on world health. Current knowledge indicates that healthy lifestyle combined diet an excellent preventive strategy. In respect, Mediterranean represents valid strategy widely recognized by scientific community. Its effectiveness proven presence several polyphenols in main foods, including quercetin, luteolin, myricetin, kaempferol. These are present different functional foods show anticancer activity. This narrative review aims assess anti-HCC activity these characterize diet.

Besides mulberry fruit, ( Morus alba L. ) has many byproducts, including leaves, branches, and roots. Although these byproducts have long been used as traditional Chinese medicine, their use is limited mainly to rheumatism, diabetes, arthritis. These natural products a variety of bioactive ingredients, flavonoids, alkaloids, polysaccharides, with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, lipid-lowering other biological functions.
