Anti-suicide themes in popular Ghanaian music

The current article presents the results of a content analysis popular Ghanaian gospel song with anti-suicide themes and lyrics that have great potential to prevent suicidal behavior among listeners. was conducted against backdrop public intimations suicide rates in country were rising. show several lines lyrical text implore listener resist while offering messages patience, hope encouragement, can serve as preventative suicide. It is impossible quantify full impact on listeners there no way knowing how many suicides been prevented by accompanying video presentation events captured video.
