Investigating the leadership styles and national culture of Emirati female school principals

With the growing expectations from field of education, increases importance effective school leadership. The proves its effectiveness depending on various factors; principal's leadership style is main one. purpose this study was to investigate influence female gender and national culture dimensions styles Emirati principals, as educational leaders, relationships that exist among different variables. Explanatory sequential mixed method approach used in two phases for study. In first phase, quantitative data were collected using Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (5X-short) survey cultural survey. second researcher conducted semi-structured interviews qualitative observations. findings indicated leaders tend be more transformational their while they still practice transactional a certain degree. They found “androgynous” carrying qualities both male leaders. addition, elements proved have significant relationship except management by exception (active). Future research should include larger sample size perspectives followers well. It important conduct organizational contexts not only schools confirm finding women use United Arab Emirate beyond.
