Background/Objectives: Pediatric migraine is a prevalent neurological disorder that significantly impacts children’s quality of life, academic performance, and social interactions. Unlike migraines in adults, pediatric often present differently involve unique underlying mechanisms, making diagnosis treatment more complex. Methods: This review discusses the clinical phases migraine, key trigger factors, sex- age-related differences, role childhood maltreatment development. We also discuss episodic syndromes such as cyclic vomiting syndrome, abdominal benign paroxysmal vertigo, torticollis, along with comorbidities psychiatric disorders, sleep disturbances, epilepsy. Results: The pathophysiological mechanisms for migraines, including genetic predispositions, neuroinflammation, gut microbiota dysbiosis, are summarized. Current therapeutic strategies, conventional emerging pharmacological treatments, nutraceuticals, non-pharmacological approaches, evaluated. Non-pharmacological particularly evidence-based lifestyle interventions stress management, diet, hydration, sleep, exercise, screen time moderation, cognitive behavioral therapy, highlighted components prevention management. long-term prognosis follow-up patients reviewed, emphasizing importance early diagnosis, tailored multidisciplinary care to prevent chronic progression. Conclusions: Future research should focus on novel targets integrating gut–brain axis modulation, need longitudinal studies better understand course migraine.

Abstract: Background: The role of gut dysbiosis in the pathophysiology atopic dermatitis (AD) through immune system (IS) imbalance is a novel line investigation currently under discussion. This study aimed to characterize compare composition and functional profile microbiota (GM) between adults with AD healthy individuals.

Abstract Background Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) poses a global health threat, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)–Cas system technology offers promising tool to combat AMR by targeting disabling genes WHO bacterial priority pathogens. Thus, we systematically reviewed the potential of CRISPR–Cas address AMR. Methods This systematic review adhered Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. A comprehensive literature search was conducted using Scopus PubMed databases, focusing on publications from 2014 June 2024. Keywords included “CRISPR/Cas,” “antimicrobial resistance,” “pathogen.” The eligibility criteria required original studies involving CRISPR/Cas systems that targeted Data were extracted eligible studies, qualitatively synthesized, assessed bias Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI)-standardized tool. Results 48 revealed diverse systems, including CRISPR–Cas9, CRISPR–Cas12a, CRISPR–Cas3, various genes, such as blaOXA-232, blaNDM, blaCTX-M, ermB, vanA, mecA , fosA3 blaKPC mcr-1, which are responsible carbapenem, cephalosporin, methicillin, macrolide, vancomycin, colistin, fosfomycin resistance. Some have explored role CRISPR virulence gene suppression, enterotoxin tsst1 iutA Staphylococcus aureus Klebsiella pneumoniae . Delivery mechanisms include bacteriophages, nanoparticles, electro-transformation, conjugative plasmids, demonstrate high efficiency vitro vivo. CRISPR-based diagnostic applications demonstrated sensitivity specificity, with detection limits low 2.7 × 10 2 CFU/mL, significantly outperforming conventional methods. Experimental reported significant reductions resistant populations complete suppression strains. Engineered phagemid particles plasmid-curing been shown eliminate IncF cured plasmids carrying vanA mcr-1 blaNDM 94% efficiency, restore antibiotic susceptibility. Gene re-sensitization strategies used susceptibility E. coli blaKPC-2-mediated carbapenem MDR bacteria. Whole-genome sequencing bioinformatics tools provided deeper insights into CRISPR-mediated defense mechanisms. Optimization enhanced gene-editing efficiencies, offering approach tackling high-priority Conclusions has across While promising, challenges optimizing vivo delivery, mitigating resistance, navigating ethical-regulatory barriers must be addressed facilitate clinical translation.

Migraine is a common and debilitating neurological disorder characterized by the recurrent attack of pulsating headaches typically localized on one side head associated with other disabling symptoms, such as nausea, increased sensitivity to light, sound smell mood changes. Various clinical factors, including excessive use migraine medication, inadequate acute treatment stressful events, can contribute worsening condition, which may evolve chronic migraine, that is, headache present >15 days/month for at least 3 months. Chronic frequently various comorbidities, anxiety disorders, particularly depression, complicate prognosis, response overall outcomes. Emerging research indicates connection between alterations in composition gut microbiota mental health conditions, are considered disorders gut-brain axis. This underscores potential modulating new avenue managing these conditions. In this context, it interesting investigate whether its form, exhibits dysbiosis profile similar observed individuals depression. could pave way interventions aimed treating difficult-to-manage migraines.
