Climate change is a highly debated issue among policymakers and stakeholders because it catalyzes numerous other problems. Similarly, natural resources are blessing for any country’s economic development, but sometimes, this can become source of many The research rigorously employs the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, widely accepted econometric tool analyzing long-run relationships, aims to investigate impact resources, renewable energy consumption, agricultural activities on carbon emissions, considering growth in Russia 30 years period. ARDL model has evaluated that agrarian significantly positively affect emissions due growth, while hurts Russia. This uses quantitative approach relies secondary data. Furthermore, robustness checks using Fully Modified Ordinary Least Squares (FMOLS), Dynamic (DOLS), Canonical Cointegration Regression (CCR) confirmed primary outcomes model. Diagnostic tests (CUSUM CUSUMSQ) have shown model's stability, multicollinearity test (VIF) highlighted absence multicollinearity. findings Russia’s agriculture harm environment, offers beacon hope, promoting sustainability growth. research, with its recommendations reducing developed countries, path towards more sustainable future, inspiring optimism hope.

The study investigates the relationship between technological innovation, clean energy, trade openness, and natural resource rents on environmental sustainability within BRICS + T nations. Motivated by urgent need to address escalating CO2 emissions—reaching 36.4 billion metric tons in 2022—the research aims understand how these factors influence emissions, ecological footprint, load capacity factor, its inverse, contributing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). uses panel data from countries spanning period 1990 2022. Employing advanced econometric techniques such as Dynamic Seemingly Unrelated Regression (DSUR), Cross-Sectionally Augmented Panel Unit Root (CUP-FM, CUP-BC), nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) models, tests Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis evaluates asymmetric effects of variables. Key findings indicate that innovation consistently reduces emissions footprints, reinforcing role promoting through cleaner technologies more efficient industrial processes. Clean energy adoption has also been shown be a significant driver reducing degradation, with consistent negative while improving factor. However, openness exhibits dual effect. While it enhances use efficiency, simultaneously increases likely due heightened activity. Natural display mixed results: some cases, they exacerbate others, contribute funding eco-friendly initiatives. recommends nations prioritize investments green technologies, strengthen regulations, enhance international collaboration accelerate transition renewable energy. Policymakers should balance benefits stricter standards mitigate adverse sustainability. These integrated strategies are essential for achieving targets outlined SDGs.

The article extends beyond conventional models and indicators by initially attempting to capture the complex effects of green technological innovations changes in natural resource extraction gas production on a novel environmental quality indicator (CO, intensity, CO2ei) for BRICS countries from 1990 2020. empirical analysis candidate panel was conducted using robust analytical techniques, including fully modified OLS (FMOLS), dynamic (DOLS), canonical correlation regression (CCR), seemingly unrelated (SUR). results corroborated role as an effective deterrent against increasing levels CO2ei. Still, outcomes suggested that had escalated CO2ei panel. country-wise reflected significant variance among countries. For instance. model revealed abated China India only, while its remained adverse remaining Per estimations, unrequited resources facilitated reduction Brazil Russia, but it also raised rest In addition, causality estimation highlighted following causal flows: i) feedback effect CO2ei; ii) one-way study offers actionable policy recommendations policymakers theorists steer sustainable environmentally conscious initiatives

Due to economic growth, significant natural resource overuse and unsustainable use have hastened the adverse effects of excessive consumption, which has resulted in large increases ecological footprint. Additionally, energy insecurity, increasing fossil fuel usage, environmental unsustainability are challenges resulting from escalating wars. However, consumption footprints may be impacted by shift systems activity that promotes clean aids digitalization process. Thus, incorporating external conflicts (EC) into model, this study examines resources (NR), digital economy (DIE), government stability (GOV), (RE) on footprint (EF) G-20 nations 2000 2021. To provide panel estimates resistant slope heterogeneity cross-sectional dependence (CD), momentum quantile regression (MMQR) is used. The empirical findings show growing their economies a major danger quality environment. energy, however, contribute less Furthermore, reducing disputes reduces impact while improving conditions degrades quality. These serve as foundation for comprehensive policies enhance through transition, digitization, sustainable resources.

The Emerging Seven (E7) nations face challenges in balancing economic growth and sustainability amid rapid industrialization. This study examines the roles of (EG), resource exploitation (RE), corporate management strategies (CMS), sustainable innovations (SI), industrialization (IND), human empowerment (HE) shaping energy efficiency (EE) development (SD) from 1996 to 2022. Using method moments quantile regression (MMQR), this captures heterogeneous effects across different performance levels. Robustness checks with augmented mean group (AMG), common correlated (CCEMG), fixed (FE) models confirmed result stability, while Granger causality analysis revealed directional relationships. Findings indicated that RE CMS enhance EE SD, whereas IND hinders environmental conservation. EG improves at higher quantiles but negatively impacts SD resource-dependent economies. SI supports may create ecological constraints, requiring balanced policies. HE significantly boosts developed regions though its influence on varies. These results align Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) governance theories, emphasizing need for tailored Strategic investment into green technologies, regulatory reforms, capital are essential integrating E7 nations.

Economic growth must be balanced with ecological sustainability as G20 nations face mounting environmental concerns and challenges. These countries account for the majority of global economic output emissions, making them pivotal in efforts to reduce footprints while fostering innovation progress. This study introduces a novel approach by integrating advanced econometric methods such Cross-Sectional Augmented ARDL (CS-ARDL), Mean Group (AMG), Common Correlated Effects (CCEMG), Granger causality tests comprehensively analyze dynamic relationships between footprint (EFP), policies (EP), renewable energy consumption (REC), capital formation (CF), (INN) from 1990 2023. The key novelty this lies its methodological rigor ability address cross-sectional dependence heterogeneity within economies. Unlike prior research, simultaneously examines linear, nonlinear, interaction effects, providing holistic understanding how factors interact over time. CS-ARDL results highlight that policies, innovation, drive sustainability, REC playing most significant role reducing EFP findings on further emphasize sustainable development hinges strategic investments human physical capital. By leveraging AMG CCEMG methodologies, research strengthens robustness findings, ensuring their validity across diverse contexts. analysis reveals bidirectional relationship unidirectional link EP, underscoring critical shaping policy. offers groundbreaking empirical insights into economic, environmental, dynamics nations, advocating prioritize energy, technological advancements, investments. Future should explore sector-specific socio-political dimensions pathways.

The aim of this chapter is to analyses the effects industrial growth on environmental degradation in terms green policies. relationship between pollution and economic has been explained from two different perspectives. first approach points existence a potential duality protection trade-off achieving or reducing pollution. second claims that negative impact can be corrected by Numerous empirical studies country-level data literature suggest also stimulates development sustainable technologies innovations enhance protection. Recent evidence, especially developed countries, shows there decoupling growth, and, thanks industry policy measures, emissions. This draws attention fact while increases decreases at same time. Therefore, it pointed out possible reduce carbon emissions without compromising growth. very important for makers decision support policies fight against climate change global warming.
