Abstract The reproductive characteristics of Hanwoo play a significant role in farm profitability by decreasing the generation interval. This study analyzed 1015 primiparous and 916 multiparous cows using genome‐wide association with both single‐locus (GEMMA, GCTA) multi‐locus models (FarmCPU, BLINK). A marker for age at first service was identified across all methods. For conception, GEMMA two markers, while FarmCPU BLINK 14 respectively. Regarding calving, found 15 In cows, except days open, one gestation length markers calving interval were (FarmCPU Additionally, number services per conception GEMMA. Key candidate genes included PLCB1 (maintaining pregnancy), MUC1 (fetal development), ADCY5 (associated fetal birth), TXNL1 regulates embryo implantation timing. Gene ontology functions associated placental regulation also confirmed (GO:0046875). Although greater genes, there no overlap results from models. showed enhanced detection power, but slight inflation test statistics ( λ values) necessitates cautious interpretation to avoid false positives. Thus, combination is recommended improve efficiency providing valuable insights into genetic aspects traits.

Simmental cattle are renowned for their dual purpose as meat and dairy breeds. The study recorded phenotype data from 183 performed a Genome-Wide Association Study (GWAS) analysis to elucidate the genetic mechanisms underlying milk production, body size traits, tail characteristics. Statistical of showed that season, parity, age at first calving (AFC) factors had significant effect on production (P < 0.05). results GWAS linear traits revealed candidate genes SH3RF2, DCHS2, ADAMTS1, CAMK4, PPARGC1A, PRL, PRP6, CORIN have been found affect circumference (BC) cannon (CC). Through including Circumference over root (COTR) Tail Length (TL) in cattle, associated with length, such KIF26B, ITPR2, SLC8A1, SLIT3 were identified. Interestingly, IL1RAP, AQP9, PKD2 also metabolic inflammation tails. Growth traits are among the most important economic phenotypes targeted in genetic improvement of beef cattle. To understand basis growth Huaxi cattle, we performed a genome-wide association study (GWAS) on body weight, eye muscle area, and back fat thickness across five developmental stages population 202 Additionally, publicly available RNA-seq data from longissimus dorsi both young adult cattle were analyzed to identify key genes markers associated with In total, 7.19 million high-quality variant loci (SNPs INDELs) identified all samples. GWAS, three multilocus models (FarmCPU, MLMM, BLINK) outperformed conventional single-locus (CMLM, GLM, MLM). Consequently, GWAS analysis was conducted using models, which 99 significantly annotated total 83 candidate (CDGs). 23 CDGs overlapped differentially expressed public datasets between Furthermore, gene functional enrichment (KEGG GO) analyses revealed that over 30% pathways GO terms development deposition, crucial factors for production. Specifically, included MGLL, SGMS1, SNX29 AKAP6, implicated lipid metabolism, adipogenesis, growth. summary, this provides new insights into mechanisms underlying presents promising future breeding improvements.

Abstract Bananas (Musa spp.) are an essential fruit worldwide and rank as the fourth most significant food crop for addressing malnutrition due to their rich nutrients starch content. The potential of genetic diversity remains untapped limited molecular breeding tools. Our study examined a phenotypically diverse group 124 accessions from Colombian Musaceae Collection conserved in AGROSAVIA. We assessed 12 traits categorized into morphology, quality, yield, alongside sequence data. sequencing efforts provided valuable insights, with average depth about 7× per accession, resulting 187,133 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) against Musa acuminata (A genome) 220,451 balbisiana (B genome). Population structure analysis grouped samples four five clusters based on reference genome. By using different association models, we identified marker–trait associations (MTAs). mixed linear model revealed MTAs, while Bayesian-information linkage-disequilibrium iteratively nested keyway fixed random circulating probability unification models 82 70 respectively. 38 40 candidate genes linkage proximity MTAs A genome B genome, findings provide insights underpinnings yield. Once validated, SNP markers can potentially drive advancements genomic-guided strategies enhance banana improvement.
