The aim of the study is to expound effect psoriasis on salivary glands by evaluating secretion saliva and cytokine biomarkers in patients with psoriasis. This was conducted recruiting 120 subjects that included 60 diagnosed clinically active healthy controls who were age gender matched psoriatic subjects. Unstimulated whole collected from all spitting method, levels tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), interleukin-2 (IL-2), IL-10 (IL-10) determined via enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (BT Lab, Shanghai, China). Secretion considerably reduced than controls. concentrations pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IFN-γ, IL-2) significantly increased, whereas level anti-inflammatory markedly decreased hyposalivation compared Our results demonstrated significant negative correlation flow rates disease severity. No correlations obtained between tested our study. Findings reflect inflammation patients. inflammatory responses gland tissues virtue increased together lower may have a role affecting unstimulated decreases severity duration disease.

Introduction: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a systemic inflammatory that leads to multiple organ complications not only in the kidneys and cardiovascular system, but also oral cavity. CKD children experience reduced saliva secretion (hyposalivation), which increased incidence of dental caries significant impairment patients' quality life. However, causes salivary gland dysfunction with are unknown. The present study first evaluate anti-inflammatory profile at different stages renal failure normal function. Methods: Thirty (age 9– 16) thirty age- gender-matched healthy were classified for study. Salivary assayed using multiplex ELISA assay. Results: We demonstrated statistically changes pro-inflammatory (↑TNF-α, ↓IL-7), (↑IL-10), Th1 (↑INF-γ, ↑IL-15), Th2 (↑IL-4, ↑IL-5, ↑IL-6, ↑IL-9) Th17 (IL-17) cytokines as well chemokines (↑MCP-1/CCL-2, ↑MIP-1α/CCL3, ↓MIP-1β/CCL4, ↓EOTAXIN/CCL11) growth factors (↑G-CSF, ↑FGF) unstimulated compared controls. Although evaluation does indicate particular dominance any branches immune we observed increase concentration all assayed. multivariate regression analysis showed content cytokines, depends on secretory function glands, ie, flow, total protein amylase activity saliva. MIP-1α/CCL3 was most effective differentiate hyposalivation from patients secretion. Discussion: Inflammation involved CKD, although further studies vitro vivo models necessary confirm this hypothesis. Keywords: chronic disease, saliva, inflammation, dysfunction,

The available literature indicates that smoking causes quantitative and qualitative changes in saliva. However, there is a lack of studies summarizing the knowledge this area, are no clear guidelines on use salivary biomarkers for assessing exposure to cigarette smoke (CS). present work aimed provide systematic review regarding influence traditional electronic cigarettes, as well heat-not-burn products, homeostasis. An search from 1982 2023 was conducted according Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Based inclusion criteria, 65 were used final review. Smoking cigarettes negatively affects biomarkers, including flow rate, pH, antibody titer, electrolyte concentration, microflora composition, redox balance, inflammation, terms both quantity quality. date, only single have been compared smokers. It can be concluded production microbiome, cytokines assess CS smoke. Introduction The prevalence of ischemic heart disease has reached pandemic levels worldwide. Early revascularization is currently the most effective therapy for diseases but paradoxically induces myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (MI/R) injury. Cardiac inflammatory reaction and oxidative stress are primarily involved in pathology MI/R Low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) been demonstrated to reduce cell injury by protecting against many diseases, including cardiovascular rarely on Methods This study was designed clarify whether LIPUS alleviates alleviating stress. Simultaneously, we have also tried confirm which intensity might be more suitable ameliorate injury, as well signaling mechanisms. simulated (SI/R) were respectively induced Sprague Dawley rats human pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (hPSC-CMs). treatment, biochemical measurements, death assay, estimation cardiac reaction, protein detections western blotting performed according protocol.
