The value of water and oceans in fostering inhabitation facilitating trade economic connectivity is immense. Sea-trade has historically played a crucial role building state's power. Pakistan, with over 1000 km coastline an extended Exclusive Economic Zone covering 290,000 sq.km, possesses abundant marine, fisheries, mineral, energy resources that can generate significant revenues. Additionally, Pakistan's geo-oceanic position offers vast opportunities for sea-based activities like transportation, tourism, shipbuilding, port facilities, renewable energy. This paper highlights the challenges prospects Blue Economy, providing policy recommendations its development.

Ecosystem restoration efforts reflect shared human values and a common vision for the future. Consequently, public approval is critical new initiatives to achieve their social ecological goals. Yet, research typically focuses on over aspects, can overlook key factors that enable projects. Allowing widespread community engagement help establish legitimacy projects, identify perceptions features of importance. Australia's largest reef restoration, recover lost oyster reefs, an emerging socio-ecological success story. This initiative in South Australia progressed foundation engagement, using consultation process local's surrounding restoration. An online forum captured 1500 responses, which 600 written responses were submitted analysed concerns. Overall, we documented strong support ongoing restorations, as perceived array social, environmental, economic, wellbeing benefits. Public reflected understanding how benefits inspire ones, firm belief restored reefs could improve coastline betterment. These findings show early involvement helped generate license government pursue work, local communities' connection place conservation engagement. Prioritising development supportive platform, through maintaining coastal accessibility within ocean governance goals, enhance value marine spaces.

This study investigates the association between ocean connectedness, environmental identity, emotions, and experiences with ocean, individuals' engagement in pro-environmental behaviors. The data from a total of 1,138 U.S. adults, standardized for age, sex, regional location, were collected using an online survey. results revealed positive emotions (happiness, gratitude, beauty, awe, joy), as well select activities (surfing fishing) are strong predictors These findings highlight that designing conservation campaigns educational programs leverage emotional outdoor could be key strategy to promote sustainable actions. Further research is needed confirm these relationships across different populations environments.

The current concept of ocean literacy reflects a prerequisite for achieving sustainability. Existing fundamentally western view oceans that works in tension with goals. Although practitioners and researchers are, laudably, starting to incorporate Indigenous knowledges perspectives from BIPOC communities, attention historical change continues be left out literacy, the detriment This article points that, given reality human-ocean relationships have changed over time, differed among cultural groups past as well present, needs history at foundational level. Because there are differences human oceans, it stands reason regional literacies must more effective than universal timeless framework. Following logical efficacy approach this further argues should involve systematic inclusion emotional elements. Regional constructed through knowledge co-production, involving diverse types expertise, actors produce context-specific pathways towards sustainable future. In today’s world, the importance of preserving environment has become increasingly evident. As a result, more sustainable solutions and techniques are being developed to combat environmental destruction. Higher education institutions now including themes in their technological courses promote behavior indirectly enhance literacy among population. This study aims evaluate level biotechnological for sustainability four areas, namely Air Pollution, Aquatic Global Warming, Energy Resources. A questionnaire was distributed sample consisting 471 individuals both genders, age range between 15 78 years old, collect data characterizing assess issues. The Portugal, participants were asked indicate agreement with several statements related aforementioned themes. findings suggest that regarding is influenced by group academic qualifications. above 65 old one lowest levels literacy, exhibiting frequencies response I don’t know exceeding 50% 10 out 22 issues present questionnaire. also higher thematic areas Warming Pollution lower Resources, have not been widely disseminated media. Abstract In the context of recent anthropogenic climate change and alarming loss biodiversity, urgent action is required to safeguard our life‐sustaining ecosystems implement effective sustainable conservation behavior strategies. To attend this concern, present study explores efficacy evidence‐based Tiny Habits® method in fostering for sustainability. end, a case–control pilot project was conducted with small cohort adults randomly divided into two groups: cases controls. Both groups engaged 5‐day online program, selecting practicing three Habits recipes daily. The group focused on actions, while control non‐conservation activities such as relaxation. results revealed that resulted an immediate sustained increase lasting changes (up 1 month) participants' behavior. mean scores intervention at baseline significantly differed from those immediately month after ( p = .0092 .0033). These findings suggest can be viable opportunity cultivate habits long term.
