This research aims to evaluate the influence of singing method on English vocabulary mastery in elementary school students. The employs an experimental approach with control and treatment groups. Students group engage learning sessions through singing, while follows a conventional approach. Data is collected tests before after intervention. data analysis results show significant improvement compared group. Singing proves effective enhancing students' motivation, strengthening retention, stimulating active engagement learning. These findings have positive implications for development teaching strategies focusing creative interactive elements, particularly context language at level.

Abstract Background The accumulation of age‐associated cognitive deficits can lead to Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and dementia. This is a major public health issue for the modern ageing population, as it impairs health, independence overall quality life. Keeping brain active during life has been associated with an increased reserve, therefore reducing risk impairment in older age. Previous research identified potential relationship between musicality cognition. Objectives Explore function large cohort adults. Methods was nested study within PROTECT‐UK cohort, which collects longitudinal computerised assessments adults over 40. Participants were invited complete validated Edinburgh Lifetime Musical Experience Questionnaire (ELMEQ) assess their musical experience lifetime exposure music. Linear regression analysis performed using data from PROTECT‐UK. Results Analysis association cognition this cohort. Playing instrument significantly better performance working memory executive function. Significant associations also found singing function, ability memory. Conclusions Our findings confirm previous literature, highlighting value education engagement activities throughout means harnessing reserve part protective lifestyle health.

Background/Objectives: As the global population ages, need for effective nonpharmacological interventions to support cognitive health has become increasingly urgent. Singing been identified as a promising strategy enhance function and emotional well-being in older adults. While substantial research focused on neurocognitive benefits of musical training, specific effects singing neuroplasticity cognition aging populations remain underexplored. Methods: This review synthesizes findings from PubMed, PsycINFO, Google Scholar examine impact health, particularly mitigating decline promoting mental well-being. Results: Key include improvements verbal fluency, executive function, episodic memory. Structural changes such increased white matter integrity enhanced auditory–motor integration highlight potential stimulate neuroplasticity. Among individuals with dementia, fosters memory, mood enhancement, social connection, while healthy adults demonstrate improved flexibility resilience. However, methodological limitations, small sample sizes cross-sectional designs, preclude definitive conclusions about long-term benefits. Conclusions: Future should explore neural mechanisms underlying these effects, an emphasis longitudinal studies diverse populations. Tailored, inclusive programs could address individual physical abilities fostering sustained engagement connection. low-cost, scalable intervention, holds promise addressing challenges associated aging, offering accessible avenue quality life across

Engaging with music has been shown to have a positive impact on the quality of life residents in care homes, who are known be affected by anxiety, depression and loneliness. Based benefits in-person singing activities, new Virtual Reality (VR) choir application was developed facilitate group singing, aiming improve residents’ wellbeing sense community. Co-designed Alzheimer Scotland, intervention tested two homes for functionality develop an approach towards assessing feasibility. Residents participated scheduled sessions over five-week period, addition staff engaging independent ad hoc use experience residents. Data reactions intervention, participants preferences about outcome instruments were collected. The VR proved technically successful, user-friendly, allowed multiple users sing together. Participants showed strong enthusiasm actively movement, although some found headsets uncomfortable. This suggests that choirs could valuable, scalable activity especially when facilitators unavailable. Preliminary observations indicated not detrimental participants’ health; however, sample size very small larger feasibility study is required examine intervention’s effectiveness, scalability, cost-effectiveness. research highlights challenges associated measuring interventions residential settings, value capturing qualitative data ecological setting represents intended intervention.

The present study aims to evaluate effectiveness, terms improving physiological and psychosocial factors, a program for middle-aged older individuals. We integrated our with qualitative observations atmosphere flow state experienced by choristers. data were collected before after 12 weeks training, 23 participants took part study. Abstract As with many other musical traits, the social environment is a key influence on development of singing ability. While familial likely to be formative, its role relative environmental influences such as training unclear. We used structural equation modeling test relationships among demographic characteristics, variables (early and current family), vocal training, ability in large, previously documented sample Australian twins ( N = 1163). Notably, early family, lesser extent predicted ability, whereas family did not. Early also mediated relationship between sex men who sang less during childhood showing poorer Bivariate twin models showed phenotypic correlation was largely explained by shared influences. This raises possibility sensitive period for sociocultural expectations around potentially differentiating developmental trajectories this skill women.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of amateur choir experience on “forced-attention” dichotic listening performance in older adults. Twenty adults with and 20 without such were recruited, along a group younger as baseline. Participants instructed complete task based consonant-vowel (CV) syllables four attentional conditions, that is, non-forced, forced-left, forced-right, divided attention conditions. The results showed may offset age-related deficits temporal processing, inhibitory control, respectively. But forced-right condition where orienting process was required, two groups performed similarly, comparable group. Our findings support OPERA-e hypothesis underscore musical activities against declines aging populations.

Abstract Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) plays a crucial role in neuroplasticity, supporting brain health along life and even during aging. This longitudinal study investigates the impact of 9-month multidomain intervention, including choral practice, on BDNF levels, audiometric neuropsychological outcomes, older adults, assessed also for their multidimensional frailty, based physical, cognitive nutritional conditions. with geriatric, neuropsychological, neurophysiological measures, are taken, via saliva samples, both pre- post-intervention. For analyses, up to 80 elderly will be randomly assigned an experimental group participating 9 month long program activities choir, intellectual manual or active control non-musical months passive group. Participation daily all groups monitored diaries. Our primary goal is investigate whether engaging social can enhance neuroplasticity as measured by contrast aspects frailty (as prognostic score, MPI) aging population. Secondly, we aim relate changes levels perceptual domains psychosocial well-being. Although previous studies point out positive effects musical training health, scarcity research individuals keeps issue open. Moreover, test non-invasive, accessible saliva-based measurements, despite some reliability limitations, could offer indications neuroprotection
