(1) Background: Human detection and tracking are critical tasks for assistive autonomous robots, particularly in ensuring safe efficient human-robot interaction indoor environments. The increasing need personal assistance among the elderly people with disabilities has led to development of innovative robotic systems. (2) Methods: This research presents a lightweight two-layer control architecture human-following robot, integrating fuzzy behavior-based system low-level embedded controllers. uses an RGB-D sensor capture distance angular data, processed by controller generate speed set-points robot's motors. layer was developed using pole placement internal model (IMC) methods. (3) Results: Experimental validation demonstrated that proposed enables robot follow person real time, maintaining predefined following 1.3 m each five conducted trials. IMC-based superior performance compared across all evaluated metrics. Aims: The present study aimed to investigate the trends and research status of global nursing robot research. Background: aging population has intensified demand for caregiving services, highlighting need innovative solutions like robots address caregiver shortages enhance healthcare efficiency. A bibliometric analysis from 2014 2024 are noteworthy but limited. Methods: We searched Web Science database relevant articles concerning robots, published between January 1, October 30, 2024. Data collected include: number publications, countries, institutions, authors, journals, reference, keywords. CiteSpace were used conduct analysis. Results: included a total 696 which produced by 165 institutions 66 countries involved 243 authors. publications exhibited generally increasing trend with fluctuations over time. United States America contributed majority articles, 187 accounting 26.87% total. Griffith University Australia led 11 representing 1.58% overall count. International Journal Social Robotics was most prolific in publishing on 162 publications. Robots have the potential to support older adults with cognitive impairments and mobility in daily tasks that could promote their independence, enhance abilities, ensure safety, lower healthcare costs. This study investigates the safety levels and risk assessment of personal care robots, focusing on their interaction with users potential hazards. The increasing use autonomous robots in care, particularly for elderly individuals, presents significant concerns. Although these are designed to assist daily activities, they pose risks such as mechanical injuries, electrical malfunctions, privacy violations. Additionally, ethical concerns regarding user dependency psychological effects becoming increasingly relevant. research categorizes into three groups: mobile servant transportation physical assistant robots. A comprehensive analysis accidents involving has identified most common hazards, including sensor unexpected movements, collisions. evaluates existing methodologies, Model-Based Safety Engineering (MBSE), Analysis (MBSA), fuzzy inference systems based ISO 13482 standards. systematic method was developed, incorporating checklists, surveys, a matrix quantify hazard levels. evaluation specific robots—Lio (a robotic arm), iARM arm mounted wheelchair), KAIST wearable exoskeleton robot)—demonstrated varying risk, dangers associated force, power failures, unintentional shutdowns.
