Abstract Background The purpose of this study was to explore the anti-cancer properties Caulerpa lentillifera (C. lentillifera) in order gain insights into possible treatment approaches. In Van Phong Bay, Viet Nam, the economically important macroalgae sea grapes (Caulerpa lentillifera; Caulerpaceae, Bryopsidales) and spotted babylon snail (Babylonia areolata) are cultivated in tidal ponds close proximity. A co-culture same pond could benefit farmers by saving space mitigating potential eutrophication.
