Natural antioxidant use has increased as a consequence of consumer desire for natural and organic foods.Almonds (Prunus dulcis Mill.D.) are an important food item both nutritionally medicinally.The health advantages attributed to these, the value-added products developed from them have been linked activities phenolic compounds in nuts.The nutritional characteristics, total contents, activity almond with brown skin without were examined current study.The findings facts support possibility using almonds sector they propose that significant source energy, protein, fiber, lipid.The results content ranged 240.6±3.2-295.5±4.2 232.3±2.8-278.4±3.6 mg GAE/100 g.The inhibition DPPH radical scavenging capacity varied over 37.60-65.09% 28.83-45.51%,without at concentration 5 mg/ml.The reducing power (absorbance 700 nm) increase all varieties however these higher varieties.This study showed excellent sources nutrients antioxidants potential value addition nutraceutical development.

Objective This experimental study investigated the protective function of quercetin on liver, spleen, and kidneys Goto-Kakizaki (GK) rats explores its mechanism action autophagy-related factors pathways. Materials methods GK were randomly divided into three groups: DM, DM + L-Que, H-Que, with age-matched Wistar serving as control group. The groups gavaged saline, quercetin-treated group was for 8 weeks each. Weekly blood glucose levels monitored. Upon conclusion experiment, samples gathered lipid hepatic renal analyses. histopathologic morphology deposition in examined. Disease-related targets identified using molecular docking network pharmacology analysis. Subsequently, immunohistochemical analysis performed, followed by Western blotting to evaluate proteins AKT/PI3K/mTOR pathway, well their phosphorylation levels. Results results showed that, compared group, exhibited significant increases glucose, serum liver kidney markers, fat vacuoles, inflammatory cell infiltration. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) indicated that reduced extensive expression AKT, P62, mTOR spleen diabetic rats. autophagy pathway-related proteins, such PI3K, P-PI3K, Akt, P-AKT, mTOR, P-mTOR, upregulated, while LC3A/LC3B, Beclin-1, Pink-1, Parkin downregulated. Conversely, a reduction injury markers decreasing necrosis, indicating has effects Additionally, P-mTOR downregulated, statistically correlations. Conclusion Quercetin markedly ameliorates damage rats, potentially through inhibition PI3K/Akt/mTOR promoting autophagy. research offers rationale therapeutic potential mitigating organ associated diabetes.
