Background: The physical activity of different groups individuals results in the rearrangement microbiota composition toward a symbiotic profile. This applies to both healthy and diseased individuals. Multiple myeloma (MM), one more common hematological malignancies, predominantly affects older adults. Identifying an appropriate form for this patient group remains challenge. aim study was investigate impact 6-week Nordic walking (NW) training program combined with 10/14 time-restricted eating regimen on gut multiple patients. Methods: included as control (n = 16; mean age: 62.19 ± 5.4) patients remission (MM group; n 65.00 5.13; disease duration: 57 months). intervention applied consisted three moderate-intensity sessions per week, individually tailored estimated capacity each participant. taxonomic determined via 16S rRNA sequencing (V3–V9 regions). compared between group. Results: alpha beta diversity metrics species genus levels differed significantly before implementation NW program. In contrast, no differences were observed after cycle, indicating that patients’ changed pattern is confirmed by lowest values average dissimilarity MMB at all levels, well highest MMA represented phyla Firmicutes, Actinobacteria, Verrucomicrobia, Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes. Conclusions: training, eating, stimulated increase biodiversity species.

Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is a major contributor to liver-related morbidity, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic complications. Lifestyle interventions, including diet exercise, are first line in treating MASLD. Dietary approaches such as the low-glycemic-index Mediterranean diet, ketogenic intermittent fasting, high fiber diets have demonstrated potential addressing dysfunction underlying this condition. The development progression of MASLD closely associated with taxonomic shifts gut microbial communities, relationship well-documented literature. Given importance primary treatment for MASLD, it important understand how microbiota their byproducts mediate favorable outcomes induced by healthy dietary patterns. Conversely, changes conferred unhealthy patterns Western may induce dysbiosis influence through promoting hepatic inflammation, up-regulating lipogenesis, dysregulating bile acid metabolism, increasing insulin resistance, causing oxidative damage hepatocytes. Although emerging evidence has identified links between microbiota, significant gaps remain understanding specific roles, metabolite pathways, host interactions, causal relationships. Therefore, review aims provide mechanistic insights into role microbiota-mediated processes analysis both contribution pathophysiology. By better elucidating interplay nutrients, processes, onset work identify new opportunities targeted interventions treat efficiently.

The gut microbiota has emerged as a critical player in metabolic and liver health, with its influence extending to the pathogenesis progression of steatotic diseases. This review delves into gut-liver axis, dynamic communication network linking microbiome through metabolic, immunological, inflammatory pathways. Dysbiosis, characterized by altered microbial composition, contributes significantly development hepatic steatosis, inflammation, fibrosis via mechanisms such barrier dysfunction, metabolite production, systemic inflammation. Dietary patterns, including Mediterranean diet, are highlighted for their role modulating microbiota, improving axis integrity, attenuating injury. Additionally, emerging microbiota-based interventions, fecal transplantation bacteriophage therapy, show promise therapeutic strategies disease. However, challenges population heterogeneity, methodological variability, knowledge gaps hinder translational application current findings. Selenomonas noxia, a gram-negative anaerobe usually present in periodontitis, may be linked to overweight and obese adults. Recent advancements include valid qPCR screening, enabling an effective prevalence study among pediatric patients aged 7 17 years. The aim of this was complete retrospective screening saliva samples from existing biorepository using validated protocol. sample (n = 87) comprised nearly equal numbers males females, mostly minority (67%), with average age 13.2 Screening for noxia revealed 34.4% 30/87) positive samples, evenly distributed between females (p 0.5478). However, age-dependent association observed higher percentages ages (13.3% 10 years; 34.6% 11 13 54.8% 14–17 years), which statistically significant 0.0001). Although these findings no noteworthy distinctions or minorities non-minorities, the notable contrast younger (7 years) older (11 participants, possibly influenced by factors such as hormones behavioral traits, will require further investigation patient population.
