Microbial exopolysaccharides (EPSs) are receiving growing interest today, owing to their diversity in chemical structure and source, multiple functions, immense potential applications many food non-food industries. Their health-promoting benefits for humans deserve particular attention because of various biological activities physiological functions. The aim this paper is provide a comprehensive review microbial EPSs, covering (1) biochemical diversity, including composition, biosynthesis, bacterial sources belonging mainly lactic acid bacteria (LAB) or probiotics; (2) technological analytical aspects, especially production mode characterization; (3) aspects based on functions; (4) current future uses medical pharmaceutical fields, particularly prebiotic, anticancer, immunobiotic properties, as well other industrial agricultural sectors.

This study investigated the potential effects of corn protein activity peptides (CPAPs) on inflammation response levels and gastrointestinal microbiota in Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection mice. CPAPs significantly up-regulated mRNA expression anti-inflammatory factor IL-10 down-regulated pro-inflammatory factors TGF-β, TLR4, MyD88, NF-κB, indicating that may antagonize H. pylori-induced inflammatory responses by inhibiting NF-κB signaling pathways. Through intervention CPAPs, colonization stomach was reduced. Additionally, structural composition improved, with an increase abundance diversity. These changes positively regulate disorders In addition, PICRUST function prediction intestinal revealed prevent or reduce metabolic brought about pylori, which improve biometabolic pathways modulating composition. conclusion, these findings suggest mitigate induced offering theoretical support for development corn-protein-based functional foods.

Wolfiporia cocos (F. A. Wolf) Ryvarden and Gilb. is a widely used herb in China, belonging to the large fungi of family Polyporaceae. P. cocos; it consists variety biologically active ingredients such as polysaccharides, triterpenes, sterols, considered treasure traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Notably, most prominent constituent, are interest for their superior anti-obesity, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, immunomodulatory activities. polysaccharides can be divided into water-soluble water-insoluble which may contribute diverse biological functions. Numerous scholars have focused on extraction process, structural identification, classical pharmacological pathways but there few systematic reviews regulating gut microbiota. Natural products closely related intestinal health, further exploration these mechanisms warranted. This review summarizes recent cases microbiota promote health discusses relationship with bioactive It aims provide basis exploring new promoting offers vision development functional products.

Chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) is a prevalent digestive system disease characterized by atrophy of the gastric mucosa and disappearance inherent glands. According to theory Correa’s cascade, CAG an important pathological stage in transformation from normal condition carcinoma. In recent years, global incidence has been increasing due pathogenic factors, including Helicobacter pylori infection, bile reflux, consumption processed meats. this review, we comprehensively described etiology clinical diagnosis CAG. We focused on elucidating regulatory mechanisms promising therapeutic targets CAG, with expectation providing insights theoretical support for future research
