ABSTRACT Objective The present study evaluated the prevalence of depression in patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis treatment. Methods This cross-sectional, descriptive, and quantitative was conducted a medium-sized dialysis center Belém, Pará. sample calculated 40 patients, following predefined inclusion exclusion criteria. Sociodemographic clinical data were collected through questionnaires, assessed using Beck Depression Inventory. approved by institutional ethics committee. Results included 55% male 52.5% aged 40-59. Most had completed or partially high school, single, 42.5% monthly income one minimum wage. main comorbidities hypertension (62.5%) diabetes (32.5%). 62.5% showed some level depressive symptoms, while 37.5% no signs. associated onset start hemodialysis. No significant differences found between those who underwent psychotherapy didn’t. Patients public healthcare system scored higher certain domains. Conclusion presence symptoms is linked to treatment burdens life losses, highlighting need for comprehensive, multidisciplinary care improve their quality life.

Background Cholecystectomy is a common procedure for treating gallbladder diseases such as cholecystitis and cholelithiasis. Potential complications include bile leakage, infection, bleeding, duct injury, residual stones, which can significantly affect recovery, quality of life, overall health. Research on these postoperative has gained increasing attention in recent years. Objective This study aims to systematically review international literature cholecystectomy published between 2004 2023. The goal explore current research trends, hotspots, developments, providing valuable insights preventing managing complications. Results A total 6,890 articles were retrieved from the WoS database, including 6,173 original papers 717 reviews. publication volume steadily increased over past 20 top three countries are U.S., China, Italy.
