Abstract The extensive use of bisphenols in the plastics industry globally is a major growing concern for human health. Bisphenol compounds are easily leached out from plastic containers to food, beverages, and drinking water contaminate natural environment. Daily exposure bisphenol increases their load impairs various organs, including reproductive system. directly or indirectly affect ovarian functions, such as folliculogenesis, steroidogenesis, oogenesis, thereby oocyte quality. A (BPA) its structural analogues act endocrine disruptors induce generation reactive oxygen species (ROS) within ovary. Excess levels ROS death pathways follicular steroidogenic cells steroidogenesis. reduced level estradiol-17β growth development that reduces number quality oocytes. In addition, excess fluid trigger meiotic instability, which further deteriorates high generates oxidative stress triggers germ well oocytes, induces atresia, depletes reserve. Although evidence indicates destructive effects at ovary, potential underlying mechanisms deteriorate remain poorly understood. Therefore, this review summarizes by cause damage impair quality, women's fertility.

Abstract Background Two-dimensional ultrathin Ti 3 C 2 (MXene) nanosheets have gained significant attention in various biomedical applications. Although previous studies described the accumulation and associated damage of testes placenta. However, it is currently unclear whether can be translocated to ovaries cause ovarian damage, thereby impairing functions. Results We established a mouse model with different doses (1.25, 2.5, 5 mg/kg bw/d) injected intravenously for three days. demonstrated that enter were internalized by granulosa cells, leading decrease number primary, secondary antral follicles. Furthermore, follicles closely higher levels FSH LH, as well increased level E P 4 , decreased T ovary. In further studies, we found exposure toTi Beclin1, ATG5, ratio LC3II/Ι, autophagy activation. Additionally, P62 increased, resulting autophagic flux blockade. activate through PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway, oxidative stress playing an important role this process. Therefore, chose cell line (KGN cells) vitro validation impact on hormone secretion capability. The inhibition initiation 3-Methyladenine (3-MA) promoted smooth flow, partially reduced estradiol progesterone KGN cells; Whereas blocking Rapamycin (RAPA) exacerbated cells. Conclusion nanosheet-induced hormones ovary mediated activation impairment flux, which disrupts normal follicular development. These results imply dysfunction may one underlying mechanisms -induced Our findings reveal mechanism female reproductive toxicity induced nanosheets.

There is a close relationship between preconception health and maternal child outcomes, the consequences may be passed down from generation to generation. In 2018, Lancet published three consecutive articles emphasizing importance of period. Phthalic acid ester (PAE) exposure during this period affect gametogenesis epigenetic information in gametophytes, thereby affecting embryonic development offspring health. Therefore, article reviews effects parental PAE on reproductive/birth outcomes health, provide new evidence topic. We searched Web Science, MEDLINE (through PubMed), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), ScienceDirect, VIP Journal Library date database establishment July 3, 2024. Finally, 12 were included. Three studies investigated hazards (effects birth weight, abortion, etc.) women's exposure. Nine involved both parents. considered impacts focusing pregnancy loss, preterm birth, embryo quality, placental weight. behavior. Abstract The reproductive health system holds paramount importance for human well‐being. Reproductive is notably susceptible to oxidative stress, triggered by the generation of reactive oxygen species from pollutants such as Cd often found in cigarette smoke ultimately resulting diminished fertility among couples. This review aims comprehensively discuss repercussions and hazards posed health, elucidating how pollution can instigate disorders proposing mitigation strategies. first set questions aimed avert pregnancy abnormalities curtail morbidity mortality rates underscores need antioxidants a pivotal risk strategy. Fostering public awareness healthy lifestyle imperative. These sustainable solutions involvement expert organizations at local, national, global scales, employing multidisciplinary approach, are indispensable effective problem‐solving this domain. Findings highlight correlation between complications, encompassing spontaneous abortions, premature deliveries, low birth weight (LBW), attributable pollutants, thereby escalating rates.

The theca, a highly specialised stromal cell layer that surrounds ovarian follicles, first appears at the secondary stage of follicle development. While role theca in folliculogenesis is well understood, spatiotemporal dynamics governing differentiation are yet to be fully elucidated. Spatial transcriptomics offers unique insight into molecular processes occur during by capturing mRNA expression patterns within tissues, maintaining their spatial context. The overall objective this thesis was optimise protocol perform mouse tissue. This contributes wider project which aims track progenitor differentiated transition situ using model. I refined protocols for collecting ovaries, and various histological techniques (including freezing, embedding cryosectioning) prioritised integrity morphology tissue imaging, while still allowing recovery high-quality RNA from same sample. As result, able validate preparing optimised sample preparation protocol, tissue-specific permeabilization optimisation STOmics Stereo-seq Transcriptomics kit, contribute final transcriptomic experiment. prepared fresh-frozen block containing four ovaries mice (n=4), sufficient quality (RNA Integrity Number (RIN) 7.4 ± 0.1) proceed with consistently passed all DNA concentration fragment size control checks throughout experiment, indicating successful generating high (both terms quality) used prepare RNA-seq library. serves as valuable resource future studies investigate cellular ovary.
