Crop Wild Relatives (CWR) are wild plant taxa genetically close to a crop. Being precious source of genetic variability and traits for crop improvement, CWR have high socio-economic value identified among the main resources. Alarming enough, inter- intraspecific diversity, as well their habitat is under threat irremediable loss. Abstract Background Orychophragmus violaceus is a potentially important industrial oilseed crop due to the two 24-carbon dihydroxy fatty acids (diOH-FA) that was newly identified from its seed oil via ‘discontinuous elongation’ process. Although many research efforts have focused on diOH-FA biosynthesis mechanism and potential co-expressed diacylglycerol acyltranferase ( DGAT ) gene associated with triacylglycerol (TAG)-polyestolides biosynthesis, dynamics of metabolic changes during development O. as well regulatory network are poorly understood. Results In this study, by combining metabolome transcriptome analysis, we 1,003 metabolites 22,479 genes were active across four stages development, which further divided into three main clusters based patterns metabolite accumulation and/or expression. Abstract Abstract. Akabare chili (Capsicum annuum) contributes to Nepalese rural livelihoods but suffers from low productivity due various abiotic stresses including drought and heat. This study aimed assess the physiological responses of landraces heat stress, individually together, identify stress-tolerant genotypes in early vegetative stage. Selected eight variety ‘Jwala’ were subjected control (30/22 °C day/night) stress (40/32 °C) conditions with irrigation, combined drought-heat without irrigation for 7 days, followed by a 5-day recovery under condition. Stress-tolerant showed better performance compared sensitive ones terms efficacy PS II (Fv/Fm), transpiration rate (E), net photosynthetic (PN), stomatal conductance (gs), leaf temperature depression, water use efficiency (WUE) ratio stomata pore area conditions, resulting improved biomass. Although all performed statistically similar their Fv/Fm, PN, E, gs WUE significantly reduced thermal further severely declined combination both. Total biomass exhibited 57.48 % reduction (37.8 %) (21.4 control. Among landraces, C44 most significant gain (35 %), DKT77 (33.48 while lowest percentage was observed C64C PPR77 during phase (29 %).
