The degree moderated link directed towards self other Higher levels were higher well-being, but only those who experienced harmony. When two forms not harmony, self/other-compassion largely unrelated Conclusions findings emphasise importance personalised interventions rather than one-size-fits-all approach. Therefore, we explored impact repeated self-compassionate writing as an ecological intervention (EMI). Seventy-five participants completed a 3-week study with signals sent twice daily, resulting 1,980 observations collected. During 1-week control period, asked report their experiences negative events, SC, stress. In subsequent they engaged whenever experienced events. Trait weekly stress also evaluated before intervention, including follow-up period. Multilevel modeling showed slight significant increase reduction However, slope differ significantly between periods. Moreover, there no changes trait nor stress, although levels decreasing trend small effect size from pre post This provided preliminary evidence feasibility utility EMI cultivating using writing. Although sizes small, highlighted possible approaches effectiveness is preregistered.
