As artificial intelligence (AI) increasingly influences education, understanding learners' experiences, engagement and literacy of these tools is critical. This study explores AI among Turkish EFL (English as a Foreign Language) students regarding their familiarity, knowledge, ethical perceptions technologies in academic writing. Using descriptive exploratory approach, the surveyed 427 from two universities. Findings reveal moderate level familiarity usage participants, with significant reliance on for translation grammar proofreading. Despite recognizing AI's potential to enhance writing, exhibited limited technical proficiency underlying mechanisms, highlighting need targeted structured education The findings contribute ongoing discourse integration offering insights policymakers, educators, researchers better prepare an AI-driven environment.

Abstract ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence application, has emerged as a promising educational tool with wide range of applications, attracting the attention researchers and educators. This qualitative case study, chosen for its ability to provide in-depth exploration nuanced effects AI on foreign language learning process within real-world context, aimed utilize ChatGPT in education, addressing gap existing research by offering insights into potential, benefits, drawbacks this innovative approach. The study involved 13 preparatory class students studying at School Foreign Languages university Turkey. were introduced through experiences over span four weeks researcher teacher. data collected from interviews analysed using thematic analysis. findings suggest that positively affects students’ experiences, especially writing, grammar, vocabulary acquisition, enhances motivation engagement versatile accessible nature various activities. This mixed-method study explores the acceptance of ChatGPT as a tool for Metacognitive Self-Regulated Learning (MSRL) among academics. Despite growing attention towards metacognitive learning tool, there is need comprehensive understanding factors influencing its in academic settings. Engaging 300 preservice teachers through ChatGPT-based scenario activity and utilizing convenience sampling, this administered questionnaire based on proposed Technology Acceptance Model at UTM University's School Education. Structural equation modelling was applied to analyze participants' perspectives ChatGPT, considering like MSRL's impact usage intention. Post-reflection sessions, semi-structured interviews, record analysis were conducted gather results. Findings indicate high significantly influenced by personal competency, social influence, perceived AI usefulness, enjoyment, trust, intelligence, positive attitude, self-regulated learning. Interviews suggest that academics view positively an educational seeing it solution challenges teaching processes. Abstract The advancement of information technologies has led to increased attention AI chatbots as valuable tools for computer-assisted language learning (CALL), drawing the both academic scholars and industry practitioners. However, there remains limited understanding regarding adoption chatbots, specifically within context English language. To address this existing research gap examine perception motivation usage ChatGPT, employed hedonic system model (HMSAM) ChatGPT. Employing structural equation modelling (SEM), a comprehensive investigation was conducted using data sourced from 189 valid responses obtained through an online survey administered Chinese international students who are currently enrolled in British universities. findings reveal that effectively elucidates elements influencing ChatGPT learning. Notably, boredom, joy, focused immersion, control emerged significant mediating factors pertaining link between perceived ease use behavioural intention. The field of computer-assisted language learning has recently brought about a notable change in English as Foreign Language (EFL) writing. Starting from October 2022, students across different academic fields have increasingly depended on ChatGPT-4 helpful resource for addressing particular challenges EFL This study aimed to investigate the use and acceptance students’ To this end, an experiment was conducted with 76 undergraduate private school Algeria. participants were randomly allocated into two groups: experimental group (n = 37) control 39). This study investigates the determinants of ChatGPT adoption among university students and its impact on learning satisfaction. Utilizing Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) incorporating insights from interaction learning, collaborative information quality, a structural equation modeling approach was employed. research collected valuable responses 262 at King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia through use self-report questionnaires.
