Abstract Background With the development of society, problem population aging is becoming increasingly severe. The degree in rural areas China higher than urban areas, and gap continues to widen, making ‘urban-rural inversion’ evident. To actively respond aging, understanding current status health-related quality life (HRQoL) its influencing factors older adults, taking positive measures improve HRQoL adults particularly important. This study aims explore profiles associated among China. Methods A multi-stage stratified random sampling method was used survey 5,435 nine prefectural cities Guizhou Province, China, between May 2024 October 2024. eight dimensions SF-12 were as input variables for latent profile analysis (LPA) HRQoL. Multivariate logistic regression adopted examine relationship HRQoL’ s factors. Results LPA identified four potential profiles: ‘Low (8.8%)’, ‘Moderate (61.8%)’, ‘High Vitality-Health, Emotional Challenges (5.8%)’, (23.6%)’. Using P4 (High HRQoL) a reference, previous occupation farmer chronic disease more likely be P1 (Low subgroup; primary caregiver child P2 (Moderate community recreational activities P3 Challenges) educational attainment, annual economic income, number children, self-care status, occupation, disease, social activities, perceived support, general self-efficacy sleep influential adults. Conclusion sub-dimensions SF-12, characteristics can identified. distinct Province: conventional HRQoL’, subgroups, well unique Challenges’ subgroup. Factors with different profiles, compared group, include education level, household ability, diseases, caregiver, participation quality. These findings provide basis designing targeted interventions profiles.

Progress in research on the neurobiology of suicide behavior adolescents has notably lagged compared to that adults. This study aimed investigate associations between serum indicators, including oxidative stress (OS) and inflammatory psychological factors with attempts (SA) major depressive disorder (MDD) while also exploring potential markers. involved assessment 106 first-time hospitalized aged 12 18 MDD measurement indicators. Participants were categorized into two groups according their history SA within preceding six months. Screening best markers for by machine learning algorithms. Multivariable logistic regression was used assess correlation these indicators suicide. Secondly, Mendelian randomization (MR) initially explore causal relationship In diagnosed MDD, those who had attempted exhibited elevated superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, reduced nitric oxide (NO) levels, more severe anxiety symptoms, worse sleep quality, increased exposure adverse life events, less effective coping strategies, parental attachment, alexithymia, impulsivity when counterparts without a (all p<0.05). The multivariable analyses showed significant association SOD activity (OR 1.254, 95% CI 1.043-1.534) symptoms 1.056, 1.020-1.097) MDD. MR genetically determined low uric acid (UA) levels higher risk 0.942 95%CI 0.896-0.991). Serum UA may be intent

This study aims to investigate the impact of physical exercise on adolescent social anxiety and elucidate serial mediating roles sports self-efficacy expressive suppression within this context. Utilizing a convenience random cluster sampling technique, surveyed 2500 primary secondary school students across Sichuan, Guangdong, Shandong, Henan, Jiangxi provinces. The survey utilized validated scales assess exercise, self-efficacy, suppression, among adolescents. revealed that: (1) Physical has significant negative correlation with (r = -0.32, p < 0.01); (2) Sports significantly mediated relationship between anxiety, an indirect effect -0.15 (95% CI [-0.22, -0.09]); (3) Expressive -0.11 [-0.17, -0.06]); (4) exerted -0.05 [-0.08, -0.02]). not only directly alleviates in adolescents but also indirectly diminishes through enhancement reduction suppression.
