Objective To identify key ethics and policy issues related to eventual therapies clinical Evidence Review From June 9 12, 2023, 27 individuals representing perspectives clinicians, researchers, Indigenous groups, industry, philanthropy, veterans, retreat facilitators, training programs, bioethicists convened at Banbury Center Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. Prior meeting, attendees submitted for medicine. Responses were categorized 6 broad topics: research issues; managing expectations informed consent; therapeutic ethics; training, education, licensure practitioners; equity access; appropriate role gatekeeping. Attendees with relevant expertise presented on each topic, followed by group discussion. Meeting organizers (A.L.M., I.G.C., D.S.) drafted a summary discussion recommendations, noting points consensus disagreement, which discussed revised as group. Findings This statement reports 20 across 5 (reparations reciprocity, equity, respect; professional boundaries physical touch; personal experience; gatekeeping), corresponding actors who will be responsible implementation. Areas further deliberation are also identified. Conclusions Relevance focuses future government-approved use medicines in US abroad. is an incredibly exciting hopeful moment, but it critical that policymakers take seriously challenges ahead.

Psychology aims to capture the diversity of our human experience, yet racial inequity ensures only specific experiences are studied, peer-reviewed, and eventually published. Despite recent publications on bias in research topics, study samples, academic teams, publication trends, peer review process remains largely unexamined. Drawing compelling case examples from APA other leading international journals, this article proposes key mechanisms underlying censorship editorial process, including reviewer selection, devaluing racialized expertise, critical perspectives, minimal consideration harm people, unscientific racist studies. The field psychology needs more diverse researchers, topics reach its full potential meet mental health communities colour. Several recommendations called for ensure can centre equity throughout process.

Abstract Growing evidence suggests that the race and ethnic minority population may experience fewer protective effects of psychedelics on mental health. The diminished psychedelic returns theory proposes racism, manifested in socioeconomic inequality, could partially account for smaller health gains observed. Therefore, it is important to investigate whether inequality reduces impact outcomes populations. Additionally, despite having higher status, remains unclear use among minorities associated with same level benefits as observed non-Hispanic whites. This study utilizes data from National Survey Drug Use ( N = 2008 2019), which involved 458,372 participants aged 18 above. objective examine various (MDMA, psilocybin, DMT, ayahuasca, peyote/mescaline, LSD), well lifetime classic (LCPU), psychological distress past month, taking into factors (education family income) race/ethnic differences (White, Black, Hispanic, Asian). analysis employed a series nested ordinary least-square regression models using Stata 18. results indicate that, after controlling there no association between Black Hispanic distress. However, white lower levels education income, groups does not appear be linked reduced stress. In fact, Asians certain increased
