Abstract Background The COVID-19 pandemic has imposed unprecedented stress and challenges upon medical staff, potentially resulting in posttraumatic growth (PTG). Objectives This study aims to investigate the post-traumatic growth of emergency nurses (ENs) in Shanghai, China, 2022 following COVID-19 pandemic. Design A phenomenological qualitative research approach was employed, with 17 ENs being interviewed between July and August 2022. Data collection conducted through semistructured, in-depth interviews, data analysis carried out using Colaizzi’s seven-step method. Setting third-level hospital Shanghai. Undeniably the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in unprecedented threats and severe traumas for human beings. However, a proportion of people, struggle with this crisis led to positive mental health outcomes, known as posttraumatic growth (PTG). This study compared PTG levels between community residents healthcare workers (HCWs) across two time points identified coping strategies that promote each domain separately. Introduction The Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic is a global traumatic event that has profoundly struck individuals’ mental health. However, this might potentially promote positive transformation such as posttraumatic growth (PTG). Studies have indicated the COVID-19 negatively affected well-being of resident physicians, but little known about PTG among vulnerable population in China. Therefore, study investigated prevalence and associated factors Chinese physicians after 3-years outbreak COVID-19. Methods An online survey was conducted from 9 March to 20 2023. assessed using 10-item Posttraumatic Growth Inventory-Short Form (PTGI-SF). Scores ≥30 implied moderate-to-high PTG. Abstract Background As central participants in Public Health Emergency (PHE), medical staffs may face positive changes, such as post-traumatic growth, while being traumatised. However, previous research remains deficient factors influencing Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG). The aim of this paper is to examine how resilience mediates the relationship between perceived social support and PTG among staff. Method Using statistical descriptive one-way analyses, we investigated mediating effects a cross-sectional study with 730 staff from general hospital Hubei Province, epicenter PHE China, through Structural Equation Modelling(SEM). Results mean score was 60.48 (SD = 24.49). direct impact on significant (0.218, 95% CI [0.083, 0.361], P < 0.001), constituting 49.98% total effect.
